Equally fortunately, this down period in Cooper's life did not last - by mid-1984, he had solved his marital problems and by 1986 he returned to the music scene with more "normal" albums, such as "Constrictor" and with his successful "The Nightmare Returns" tour. Although one can hardly call this album a "hit album", it is nonetheless an album that should find its way into any Alice Cooper's fan collection and should be listened to by anyone who considers themselves a music expert, as it does have some historical value. ...Dis Is Da Drum - Herbie Hancock! Who is Herbie Hancock?? Well, he was born in 1940 and by the tender age of 11 was considered somewhat of a piano virtuoso. In 1963 he received a life changing phone call from Miles Davis asking Herbie to join his band "The Miles Davis Quintet". He then took his solo career to new heights and even after being a professional musician for 5 decades is still at the forefront. He has been and is a huge inspiration in the Jazz and R&B culture we know today. The CD opens on "Call it 95", an über-funky tune in which Herbie lays down some classic, simple lines on his acoustic piano and is accompanied by some funky slide bass, awesome sax licks and as many different drum sounds as you can imagine! ...Boy In Da Corner is the debut album of Londons own Dizzee Rascal. Boy In Da Corner is a breath of fresh air in a market dominated by American acts. The album contains 15 original tunes with thought provoking lyrics. Dizzee Rascal, this years Mercury Music Award winner exploded on to the scene with 'Fix up, look sharp' and 'I Luv U'. Both of which are on the album. His new hit - 'Jus A Rascal' is another fresh track by Diz and his 'Roll Deep' Crew. As you would expect with his style of music there is a number of gun and women references which can only be put down to his own experience. The album contains quality tracks like his three hits and original and bright tracks like 'Hold Ya Mouf' and 'Jezebel'.
