...Purple Haze is Cam'ron's second album on Roc-a-fella records (a label he has since left) and the follow up to his 2002 album "Come Home With Me" and features production from Just Blaze and Kanye West. This ensures excellent production throughout and a more a more commercialised and radio friendly style especially with Kanye West's influence on many of the tracks. For example there is the frequent use of samples, including Cyndi Lauper's Girls Just Want To Have Fun. The album also features guest appearances from the entire Dipset crew and Twista. The subject matter can sometimes become a bit repetitive with continual references to drugs and women and if you prefer more concious hip hop this album may grate on you. Another song that has strong hood roots is "I Ain't Playin' Wit 'Em," which also has a YouTube music video that features Hell Rell boldly shooting at some guys on the block. The opening dramatization features some guys starting some beef with Hell Rell and approaching him in a building in the Bronx; next thing we know Hell Rell opens fire and thus, it introduces the song. The song shows that Hell Rell will deal with anything he encounters -- gangsters, hell, murderers, jail, and dope fiends. Most of the Dipset family are a part of this album, but even they couldn't save it. "I'm the Sh--," featuring Cam'ron, is also a respectable track with fiery lyrics: "See the flies flying 'round me?
