Described as "The Non Stop, All-Dance Tour de Force" (not by me)
Oh yes, madonna is, most definitely, back with a vengeance
And i mean 'back' in a doubley-meaningfuly-way, because shes also it seems going back to the 80s - musically and fashionwise.
Co-produced with Stuart Price of Royksopp descent, this is above all a party and dance album unlike her previous attempt American Life (which i liked), the tunes are designed to dance to. Throughout the whole album (well on my version anyway), all the tracks are mixed together so that theres not really a start or finish to one song - rather like a Ministry of Sound annual or some other such club publication.
yus and she sounds really awesome.
A few highlights on the album - "Hung Up", of course the recently released single with the sampled Abba-gimme-gimme-gimme trademark arpeggio, which i have noticed makes anyone listening at Least tap their foot, if not get up and do some vogue-esque dancing!
"Sorry" is also a bit of a gem, its got a good catchy bass and a rather excellent multi-lingual introduction (which has me flicking back to listen to the first 15 secs!). I hear it is to be the next single
"Future Lovers" is quite good especially if you are extremely drunk and want to chill out and feel lovely (im sure many on Ciao know what i mean :D) as is "Forbidden Love"
"I love new york" is quite catchy however the lyrics are frankly laughable
"How High" is quite good as well, not so much for the music but the lyrics - it seems to be somewhat autobiographical, "It's funny how many people mention my name, and theyre not very nice" "How much fortune can you make" "Nothing lasts forever - does it really matter?"
"Isaac" is not particularly good, just thought i would mention that this track has something to do with Kaballa and was also critizised by some christian organisation for cashing in on the bible.
"Push" is quite good as well, i think it is a future single in there. _____ Basically the album is really good to dance to and if you have friends round. It's a Dance/Trancey album, if you like this sort of music (if you dont know what im talking about - artists like Les Rhythmes Digitales, Ultrabeat, also a bit older Urban Cookie Collective and Robert Miles - that's the genre), sounds quite 80s with all the cool synthesisers.
Probably not for everyone though - i know that some fans of Madonna are disappointed with the album, although most think its great that she's back in the mainstream.
I'd also like to say that I know that lots of people think Madonna is too old for this - fair enough that's your opinion - but you're so wrong! _______ Track Listing
1) Hung Up 5:36 2) Get Together 5:30 3) Sorry 4:44 4) Future Lovers 4:51 5) I Love New York 4:11 6) Let It Will Be 4:19 7) Forbidden Love 4:22 8) Jump 3:47 9) How High 4:40 10) Isaac 6:03 11) Push 3:57 12) Like It Or Not 3:57
The album is 56 minutes long. ______ Oh yus always forget to write this - buy from www.cdjungle.com for 6.97 or in HMV, Virgin etc.
And also there is another limited version coming out soon which has a few bonus tracks - will be interesting to see what they are like! when I hear them i will edit my review accordingly.
I'm not a massive Madonna fan, but I do quite like a few tracks of this album. Although not enough to go out and buy it, but it would go down well as a gift I suppose. Good review matey.....Krisp

Sounds cool, but I've never been a huge fan of Madonna. Great review. =)
Advantages: Great to listen to before you go out or just have on in the background. Disadvantages: Lyrics ('I like New York...Other places make me feel like a dork)
Advantages: Its Madonna back to her Dance Floor Best Disadvantages: The fact they all mix into each other is good for getting ready to go out, but not when on shuffle!
