At first i didnt like this album, but after hearing it repeatedly at work, i decided to buy it and now i really like it. I really do think it's one of those albums that grows on you, and most people will find something that they like on this cd.
Even being an overly critical music-buff, I can safely say that this album can be enjoyed as long as the songs are not taken too seriously on their musical merit, but instead enjoyed for their catchiness and all round camp and uplifting tunes!
The album features lots of synthesized sounds and likeable background tunes behind the basic vocals.
Most of you will be familiar with the songs 'Hung Up' and 'Sorry' - so I will simply say about these songs that they deserve to be the hits that they were! Especially 'Sorry' which is my favourite of the two. This song features an enjoyable chorus, and the echoing of 'heard it all before' as the song kicks off is an excellent way to introduce the song.
'Hung up' was an excellent choice for Madonna's first release off this album, and the sample of ABBA fits perfectly with the disco and upbeat tone of the song, but with a modern twist.
As for the other songs- FUTUTRE LOVER - I prefer the background dance beat of this song to the actual singing parts, and for this reason I believe it is not one of the best tracks LIKE IT OR NOT - I really like this song, Madonna's vocals are very smooth and the song is quite edgy compared to the other tracks PUSH - Potentially my second favourite song on the album; good tune, good verses, good chorus, gets stuck in your head! ISAAC - an original sounding song with some eastern sounding samples, but sticking to the dance/disco theme that is featured throughout the whole album HOW HIGH - I'm suprised this wasn't released as a single as it has the makings of a hit single. I LOVE NEW YORK - probably my least favourite song of the album because the lyrics are cringeworthy!!! However, still a catchy and simple tune. JUMP - good chorus, sounds quite similar to some of the other songs on the album though which is disappointing FORBIDDEN LOVE - a highly synthesized song with some enjoyable vocals LET IT WILL BE - My favourite song on this album, enjoyable tune, very catchy, stands out from the other songs as a favourite. Madonna showing she still has it! GET TOGETHER - another one of the highlights, sounds almost like it belongs on a 'chill-out' dance album as it is dance-y but not overly uplifting or disco-y, easy to listen to and enjoy.
This is a good album to stick on in the background, with good tunes like 'Like it or not' and 'Jump', really make it a worthwile album. Especially as it has been out for some time and therefore you will be able to pick this CD up for a reasonable price.

Advantages: Its Madonna back to her Dance Floor Best Disadvantages: The fact they all mix into each other is good for getting ready to go out, but not when on shuffle!
