The smooth, soulful artist is back…Usher is one of the greatest artists. He released some excellent tracks such as ‘U got it bad’ and ‘My Way’. Although the album has clean lyrics, I wouldn’t recommend children listening to the album as I believe like perhaps a lot of music today, it is about issues which perhaps children don’t necessarily need to be exposed to. But alternatively, it is great music and vocals.
This album is great. A very personal album from Usher, which as titled is his confessions after being unfaithful to Girlfriend TLC's "Chili". Usher confesses that he had an affair with another girl whom he got pregnant. The lyrical content of this album is great as Usher confronts the issues which many of us have experienced in relationships. This album is sensuous, conveying pure emotional lyrics in the most dire of situations. The very essence of the tragic circumstances is reiterated through out the album as he continuously apologises and reveals more layers to the story. I think the album is so evoking, as you feel very involved as you feel like he’s telling you the story- or as though you’re listening to HOT gossip! I think that the most moving track on the album is 'Confessions'.
Usher does a great job in demonstrating how the he has hurt ‘Chilli’, why he did what he did, the consequences of his actions and the emotional rollercoaster he too has been on, due to his own actions. It makes you feel sympathy for both parties to the argument. Usher in doing an album in which he has publicly declared his feelings shows great strength and sincerity. I think that this album provides a useful insight for those who think that cheating on another is ‘ok’ or that, things will be the same once they have confessed. It illustrates that the ‘real’ world does not always work on the playground basis of ‘if I say sorry, you have to forgive me and be my friend’.
A very soulful R&B album, which I have not stopped playing since it was given to me by a friend. Thank you- If you ever read this. It has great lyrics and it is easy to listen to. Most of the tracks are the slow like U got it bad and has a sound similar 8701. So if you want more party tunes like ‘Yeah’, you may be disappointed.

This review is very well written, I absolutely love all of Usher's music. I didn't know the song 'confessions' was about Usher and Chili, which is interesting to know.
