Advantages: A couple of listenable tracks Disadvantages: Nothing recognisable of the formerly wonderful Tarja
...Remix]
Ok, so, you know whats on there. The first half of the album seems to be mostly a repeat of the same theme through every track, and, frankly, a little bit boring. Despite Tarja being an operatic singer, her phenomenal voice just isn't used at all, its barely a warmup exercise really.
But, Still, the first track to make you notice the album is in this humdrum start. I walk Alone.
Now, I walk alone is almost a power ballad, as far as i'm concerned. The track is... confusing. She's trying, so hard, and coming so close to succeeding, without going near what I call the Nightwish formula. I quite like this track, though it needs polishing somewhat.
The second track to pay attention to is Poison. Now, this is a remarkably brave move, and, honestly, a remarkably silly one too! The track just doesn't work - Tarja Turunen, a woman widely...

...Reign in Blood
Reign in blood is the third studio album by thrash legends, Slayer. It was released on October 7th 1986 and is regarded as a classic metal album. The album was delayed because of the lyrical themes. In the opening track "Angel of death" they sang about the acts that occured at auschvitz concentration camp. This lead to claims of Nazism which the band have always denied and explained they just have an interest in the subject.

The opening track could not have been any better. The speed is intense and the riffs and vocals prove how good the band are. Also the drumming sound is great. It's no wonder that this song is still nearly always part of their set. The other highlights of the album have to be "Jesus saves" and "Raining blood". The whole album is just classic slayer and it can't be faulted. If you...

Advantages: Great songs that'll have you singing along in no time. Disadvantages: If you're not into love songs or ballads than stay away- this album has loads of those.
........Baby One More Time was Britney's first album, and while there are many copy cats of the pop world to her music, she stillreigns as Queen of Pop. This album is definitely a cut above the rest, and although I understand her "teenybopper" image, her songs are fresh and were original until the likes of Billie Piper and Christina Aguilera came along. A very playable album; still a favourite of mine. Although the older members of the family may not be fans of Baby One More Time, the funky music will stick in most teens' minds. Very memorable and easy-to-sing-along-to tracks, and I'm hoping that her second album will be as much value for money as this one....
