This movie is a Demon Infested nightmare and it's brilliant.
God and the Devil have made a standing wager for the souls of all mankind. But the devils son is changing the rules in order for hell to win and also to depose his father. In order to do this he needs an angels help and a very powerful physic.
Starring Keanu Reeves as John Constantine and Rachel Weisz as the physic the film is a rollercoaster of a ride from start to finish.
Constantines job and passion is to hunt down and deport demons back to hell but now there is something strange occurring and into the mix comes a very powerful physic. Soon Constantine will be up to his neck in demons and half breeds as he fights to save Rachel from being taken by the devils son.
Also star Peter Stormare as the devil.

Advantages: One of those films where it satisfyingly questions religious conception in an entertaining format Disadvantages: Bit naf in places
Ok, give this another go. I'll start out by saying I've got the Region 2, 2 Disc Special Edition version of this DVD. I initially bought it because first off it was reduced and seconf because I was curious about it at the time of its release, but not enough to go to the cinema. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised.
This darker comic book adaptation follows the story of John Constantine, a damned man with the "gift" of awareness, walking this world aware but aware of the next he spends his days excorcising deamons and trying to buy his way into heaven.
Rachel Weisz's character comes into this story when her twin sister commits suicide, though she believes it to be murder. This triggers a shift in the way things have always been where the world of man and that of the angels and deamons begin to collide. The usual end ...

Advantages: Rachel Weisz Disadvantages: Bland Story
of the movie he was more than believable as a regular, run of the mill, average Joe. Then it was quite a trip, to see him evolve from a nerd Neo, to the action packed Neo that he ultimately became. At first, his deadpan delivery in movies made me not like him. After seeing him however in movies such as "The Matrix", "Something's Gotta Give", "Hardball" and now in "Constantine", I think he is beginning to grow on me. Now that we have considered what I think about him personally. Let me tell you of why I like him in Constantine.
