When/ Why did I buy the book?
I bought the book a good few years ago, I'd say about five, when I was about ten years old. I actually bought the book from a car boot sale, I think it was about 10p!! Which is an absolute bargain as the book is fantastic and I still read it now.
I'm not really sure why I bought it, it obviously must have just caught my eye through all the usual junk you find at a car boot sale. They say don't judge a book by its cover, well everyone does don't they. I think I judged ...

Notes on a Scandal is the story of Barbara Covett, a lonely and elderly teacher at an underperforming school. It begins with the introduction of a new teacher, young and pretty Sheba Hart. This is a review of the Nissan Note 1.4 with manual transmission & not the 1.6 auto as listed.
My first acquaintance with the Nissan Note was on a rental car hire parking lot last week, it was my transport for three days. If we all purchased a car for looks alone I doubt if anyone would even consider this car. I know looks are a subjective matter but no matter which angle I looked at this vehicle is was just????.well, ugly.
With its long wheelbase & box shape & those striking ?bug eye? headlamps it was never going to win a beauty contest.
And then there is the name, how many well paid advisors / marketing people came up with the name. Note? Did they pick the names out of a hat? Honestly, I would have thought a company the size of Nissan could have come up with something a little more enticing.
However, this is a car ...

Album Notes
This second album from the London-based electronica producer, released in 2004, was the precursor to his 2009 breakthrough Domino debut 'Insides'. While 'Contact Note' is smooth and listenable with a somewhat more generic chillout sound than its successor, it sees Hopkins begin to develop the classical influences, twisted IDM programming and phat beats that would more fully make themselves felt on the later album.
