The AUDITION (yes they do write it that way) are a pop punk band from Chicago, Illnois, USA, who formed in 2003 and are currently signed to Victory Records. They released an EP, All In Your Head in 2004, then followed this with their debut album, Controversy Loves Company in September 2005.
They have strong guitar riffs, strong vocals and strong melodies. =]

Smoke And Mirrors I bought this after hearing about The AUDITION's tour with The Academy Is, and after listening to just a few songs I already loved it - and I actually can't find a track I don't like.

The melodies are catchy and the lyrics I find very pretty, eg:'Another fabricated Self-portrait' 'How cliché to sing about the stars / when they burnt out years ago'
The vocals aren't to everybody's tastes, but some of the pople I know who don't like the lead singer still like the band because of the guitar riffs =] Personally I love the vocals =]
If you like rock, alternative, punk rock, indie rock then at least have a listen.
