It?s nearly Christmas!!!
So it has to be done, watching Christmas films, that is!!
This film ? ?Fred Claus? - was one that seemed to have passed me by last year and one that I watched on Sky this week.
The film is slightly different to the majority of Christmas films as it features Santa?s brother Fred, more than the big man himself.
THE STORY
The story starts with the birth of Nick Claus; God help his mother, this child looked about ten months old and said ?Ho Ho?, a clue to who he was going to be!!
Fred Claus, the older brother of Nicholas loved him and promised to be the best big brother ever, but there were issues between them.

Advantages: Recognisable tunes Disadvantages: Neither fish nor foul. Best stick to the original
I was prompted to shake the dust off a neglected corner of my record collection by a review posted by Nar recently. "The True Legacy of a Legendary Musical Divorce?" is about the Album "Legacy, a Tributeto Fleetwood Mac's Rumours" - a CD of cover versions of the songs from the classic Mac album 'Rumours' released in 1977. Advantages: Some funny moments. Disadvantages: Not enough funny moments because of the sloppy writing.
Did you know Santa Claus had a brother? A big brother named Fredto be precise. But Fred has always lived in the shadow of his younger sibling who would grow up to be the very model of giving. Fred has gone the other way and makes his living as a repo man. But when he finds himself in jail, the only one that can bail him out is Nick. And he does so on the understanding that his big brother will work at the North Pole in the run-up to Christmas. So Fred heads north where his rabble-rousing ways jeopardise Santa's workshop as a nasty bureaucrat is looking for a reason to shut it down.
As director David Dobkin previously helmed "Wedding Crashers" I was expecting something sharper than your usual family Christmas movie. But this film wasn't all I hoped. It's fine when Vince Vaughn is being allowed to run off at the mouth, but the rest ...
