From album to album missy elliot has alway been able to improve her craft and has alway been able to stay ahead of the game; with new styles, new experimental beats and who can forget her talented rapping skills. So in her sixth and maybe best album "The Cookbook" be sure to find a new variety of music recipies, waiting to hit those musical taste buds!!. With guest producers and collaborations, giving the added ingrediants to an overal meal that everyone will want to experience.

'Lose Control' - This is the jump-off single, which no doubt was a hit in the charts, with the House andTechno beats mixed with hip-hop sounds, makes this a huge standout track. This track took some techno samples from from theEighties group Cybotron, showing just how experimental missy really is when it comes to producing tracks, and making hits. The single also feats vocals from new RnB senstation Ciara, which gives that added catchy factor, as well as Fat man scoop adding his talents to the track..great club track. I have to say i really loved her video to this song...a different but effective video.
'Joy'- This is one of two tracks that timbaland produces, which is suprising as he is usually the part mastermind most of the tracks on missy's albums. But this just shows missy venturing on her own, trying new producers and using more of her own producing skills. I must say this is a great track, although timbo doesnt produce much on this album the songs he does master, are truely worth listening to. Those who are not familiar with timberland also known as tim mosley, he is the musical mastermind behind alot of justin timebrlakes, most of aaliyahs, ginuwine, new jamie foxx and the game songs...naming just a few.
My struggles- this features the queen of RnB mary j, as well as background vocals by tweet. It sees missy and mary talking about their experiences through growing up. I do like this track, although not really a track you'd hear on the radio alot..still great touching vocals by the three hot females in the music business.

overall great album, but not as good as her past stuff. needs more timbaland tracks.
