...Back in the day when 'cheesy' was cool (them were the days!) the American pop manufacturing machine spouted out four blonde beauties in all their golden skinned, glossy haired, white toothed, choreographed to within an inch of their life glory. These popstars were, of course, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Mandy Moore and Jessica Simpson. Despite the changing face of music, the first two off this list have reinvented themselves and clung on to their fame in one way or another (Christina choosing the chap-wearing route and Britney opting for the no less headline grabbing girl-on-girl kiss and Vegas wedding). However, the last two, as the backlash against cheesy, chirpy blondes began, dropped off the radar for a while before eventually, in recognition of the death of pop as we knew it, deciding to seek shelter in the world of acting... It's not an unforgettable song, but it is a hymn of life and dancing: it hits up for the moving of his melody and the energy of his voice, while he's singing words of this song. A very nice video, as I can see ... a beatiful idea in showing black and white colours and life in an ordinary night in a disco, with beautiful people and cool girls. Ricky Martin is the symbhol of "La vida loca", a natural way to live your life forgetting our daily troubles and problems, while we are always running for a lot of good reasons. He reminds us our hidden will to live a beautiful life, dancing and playing around and our big desire to enjoy us, to leave our legs go into an everlasting night when all the things can happen.
