It has at least one cover on it (Track 6, When A Man Loves A Woman), which was done by Percy Sledge a while back. It has a really uplifting track to kickstart the album, with Love Is A Wonderful Thing. This lulls you into a false sense of security of thinking this is going to be all good, upbeat songs, but the second song, the title track of the album, is upbeat in places but there is a definite mellowing feel to it. Leading into the softer sounds of Missing you now, and Forever isn't long enough, which really put me to sleep, but I did like them (anyone with an idea to knock sense into me?). ...Hello this is my first music review and I’m hoping to find a few Reading festival goers amongst the Ciao community, is anyone there? Well I was introduced to the Darkness earlier on this year and if you people don’t know who they are by now it’s time for a little education in the field of spandex zebra jump suits and real crazy rock n roll. THE BAND Well if its time to wake up the crowd then The Darkness is a real crowd pleaser capable of make the crowd jump quicker than a locust on heat. ...This album is an absolute must-have for RnB fans. I borrowed it off one of my mates and instantly fell in love with it. There is a huge variety in the songs on this album. Although they all come under RnB, they all have different tampo's and different beats. They vary from quick, upbeat songs like Heartbroken to slow and gentle melodious songs like Ride It and Baby Love. The name Spring Collection 2008 rightly describes the album as they are all current songs that are perfect for playing when you have friends round, are having a BBQ in the back garden with family or simply just enjoying the tracks whilst sunbathing. If you know people that rae not into RnB then give them this album and i guarantee they will love it. I let my mum listen to it and now she constantly plays it in the car.... Read review
