St. Paul's: "The Little Chapel That Stood"

Advantages: Inspiration for humanitarian conduct
Disadvantages: The ongoing pain of loss

regarded as a rural retreat. Built between 1764 and 1766, its original Anglican parishioners were farmers located on the northern fringes of the colonial port of New York. Today, the chapel with its churchyard forms a small green oasis of the past amidst the hustle and bustle of modern New York City's financial district. Some would claim that on September 11, 2001, the fact that an ancient sycamore tree stood between the small church and the World Trade Center--and took the brunt of the forces released by the collapsing buildings--was no accident. The tree fell with spreading branches that acted as a shield to preserve the church from what should have been certain destruction. Since that time, those caught up in the events that followed 9-11 at Ground Zero have bonded with St. Paul's to form a remarkable model for humanitarian conduct during ...

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic - good attempt at touch screen from Nokia

Advantages: Ease of navigation, features, size, design
Disadvantages: Screen can be fiddly, poor camera

I have had three weeks now with my new Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, and I'm pleased to say it hasn't disappointed. I was at first very careful with my choice of mobile phone, as before I had chosen a bit of a dog. Furthermore, I was apprenhensive about the touch screen and its ease of use and general robustness. It is motion sensitive (much like the iPhone and iPod touch) so it rotates the layout of the screen as you rotate the phone. Texting takes a little getting used to (particularly with my large thumbs) but is, in general, good to use. It also comes with a stylus for easier navigation on the internet, as some of the links can be extremely small. Furthermore, it has a maps feature (again, much like the maps feature ...
