I had just been going through different phases of music genres, Rock, Hip-Hop,Pop,R&B, but I didn't take to them too much. I prefer more relaxing music, not classical but just more of a Drum and Bass type genre to give me that tingle up my spine like some music does... ...This, being one of The Trios first albums is classic trio. If you like them, this is the one you have to listen to - If you have not heard them before - this is the first album that you should listen to! With classics such as Trouble breathing - one of myu favourites which has a killer intro, this one is not to be overlooked! This album is full of heartfelt lyrics which are filled with emotion, however this album is still punk and it is still dark and is not soppy emo which is unusual but genius and very hard to do! Good music to listen to after you've had a truly awful day/week/month/year! If you are upset or in a bad mood or just feel like listening to some music with catchy tunes - this would be the one to be slipped into the CD player! ...About 5% of people I've ever spoken to are a fan of or have heard of Jewel. Which is a shame, because she is exremely talented, and has become one of my favourite artists over the past year. I do seem to have got into this habit of writing opinions on lesser known, completely underratted female singers (see reviews of Jewel, Heather Nova), so if you know anymore out there, let me know! This is Jewel's first album, and is probably her most heartfelt and raw. Released back in 94/95, it is based on the acoustic set that she toured up and down America's west coast at the beginning of her career. The album eventually sold massively in the U.S. but was virtually unnoticed over here. This album is totally acoustic, and folked up to the eyeballs.
