Advantages: Good tracks, bonus material Disadvantages: A few too many mixes
Have already rated the previous album (put your hands up vol.1) and many of my points apply to this album aswell. After continually listening to the first album i decided to buy this one aswell and again i was not disappointed.
There is again a brilliant mix of tracks over 3 CD's including several remixes and club mixes such as that of Camille Jonesvs Fedded le Grande-The Creeps (club mix). This i believe to be one of the best but there are 62 other tunes that you will just want to get up and dance to.
Again, as like the previous album there is bonus content on CD1 including 3 awesomw music videos including Fedde Le Grande-Put your hands up and Alex Gaudino-Destination Calabria. This is a really nice touch to the album and makes it a real gem. ...
't that bad. I don't normally like mixes of a song unless it's been remixed by some really good producers. We have a copy of Katy Perry's "I Kissed A Girl" and One Republic's "Apologize". Unfortunately, they don't live up to the standard of the originals. I don't think they work very well in this style. They don't have the same feelings and impressions intended by the original artists. Apart from that, this CD earns 4/5
CD Two:
More of the same. This time it's Girls Aloud, Rihanna, PCD, Infernal & N-Dubz. I really like the mix of "When I Grow Up", it's still got the amusement the original had and it hasn't been destroyed. We have another copy of a song (I Think We're Alone Now). I've not really listened to this song much, probably because I've never been keen on this song. It sounds like the Girls Aloud version with a heavier beat. I love ...
Advantages: Lots of great songs from the eighties Disadvantages: A few not so great
controversy was never far away from him. New Edition never really made it on this side of the Atlantic and this was their only hit of note.
Track 13 - I Got You Babe - UB40 & Chrissie Hynde
This corroboration between UB40 and Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders (Brass in Pocket) fame was a huge hit and to be honest their various styles complemented each other excellently on this track.
Track 14 - Love Of The Common People - Paul Young
When originally released this song flopped but after universal success with Wherever I Lay My Hat (That's My Home) this was re-released and was another success, peaking at Number 2 in the UK charts. Pretty decent stuff.
Track 15 - All Cried Out - Alison Moyet
The female half of Yazoo enjoyed a fair amount of success as a solo artist, and this was probably her best offering.
Track 16 - Total ...
