Advantages: Original Disadvantages: simmilar to other work
...Cosmic thing the, track is the main reason why I brought this album, the track is structured so well the way the synthesisers in the song are used express the real feel of the songs mood and atmosphere.
Almost everything is synthesised, Pop music lovers will truly enjoy this track of the album and will continue to enjoy long after purchase. However cosmic thing the track is similar to all the other tracks on the album. They follow the same style and beat showing un originallity in their songs.
Overall this album is a classic, that should be owned by all synth/pop music lovers everywhere
I truly recommend this album to anyone who really appreciates truly great music and is a classic....

Advantages: Thievery Corporation at the best Disadvantages: none
...Rob Garza and Eric Hilton deliver another opus of mixed genres like rock, breaks, future-bossa, dub, ethno…
After excellent The Richest man in Babylon album in 2003, The Cosmic Game is expected step forward, and not just that, it is breathtaking musical experience for TC fan’s but surely will attract new ones.
Thievery Corporation is one unusual duet. They mix, blend and experiment with music and the products is finest music you could hear this days. If you like down tempo, jazz, boss nova, samba, oriental ethno, reggae and rock music, just try to imagine all this on one album. Then add some guests like Perry Farrell, David Byrne, Gunyan, Loulou, Notch, Sleepy Wonder, Verny Varela, The Flaming Lips and few others you’ll have The Cosmic Game.
Don’t let this make you think it is another remix type of album...

The sound of "Requiem" is completely unique both in its sheer quality, timbre, and atmosphere. This is the music that plays whenever the Monolith, a strange alien object, appears in the movie - it is music for an unknown power with an unknown purpose.
The title music for the film - also used as the music in the climax, and at the climax of the prelude - is Strauss's "Thus Spake Zarathustra", an incredibly powerful short piece that is iconic and unmistakable. Its use in '2001' has become legendary. Most famously the rising chords of the music play against the title screen, where the Sun appears to rise over the face of the Moon, with the Earth receding into the foreground. This image, combined with the music, is quite...
