That said,Cosmo'sis really a must-own in its entirety: no other album so adeptly laces together the various strands of the CCR sound. John Fogerty's ready-for-AM-radio knack surfaces in "Lookin' Out My Back Door" and "Up Around the Bend," and his sober side is in evidence on "Who'll Stop the Rain" and "Long As I Can See the Light". Advantages: The next best thing to a CCR greatest hits Disadvantages: None
"Cosmo's Factory" was significantly the only Creedence album to top the charts on both sides of the Atlantic. Excluding best-ofs, it remains their ultimate set. Included are four tracks released as singles around the same time (summer and autumn 1970), a couple of 50s rock'n'roll faces, "Ooby Dooby" and "My Baby Left Me", an old blues standard, "Before You Accuse Me", and a couple of longer, more improvisational cuts. The 11-minute "I Heard it Through the Grapevine" had always polarised opinion; some (including fans of the Marvin Gaye original) praised it as one of the first successful rock covers of a soul number, while others thought it either sacrilege or an unnecessary way of filling up playing time. "Ramble Tamble", at over 7 minutes, is really two pieces of music welded together, a brisk riff-driven song to open and close ...
Advantages: Classic Bond moments in first half of the film. Disadvantages: Gadgets ruin the film, as does John Cleese as Q.
Madonna who sang the title song of the film has been given a cameo part. Her scene is completely under lit and leaves her looking rather butch. By the way the title song is not one of the memorable ones in the series and can be quite annoying after hearing it a few times.
Released in 2002, the film marked the 40thAnniversary of the franchise. The Gun Barrel sequence was adjusted slightly, a number of reference to all previous films were made throughout the film itself, the most obvious one being in the scene with the new Q where a whole scope of gadgets from previous adventures are seen. , and the use of the Aston Martin made a welcome and long overdue return to the screen as Bond's car of choice as the BMW's were not used in the film at all. The Aston Martin is put to much more use than previous film as Bond uses the car throughout ...
that is mentioned more than any other film. This is, Walt Disney's - Mary Poppins.
Imagine my surprise when having not seen this classic creation for about 10 years when my boyfriend gave me a little surprise? the DVD - 2 Disc, 40thAnniversaryEdition. So I spent my Friday night snug in bed singing and reciting every word to the lovely and comforting lyrics of this magnificent movie. I felt like I was 5 years old again?.
**The History Behind Mary Poppins**
This movie is based upon the original book by P.L. Travers and was published in 1934. Travers originally wrote this title, amongst 3 others as a 4-part series of books based upon her own imagination, experiences and feelings as a child. It is believed that Pamela Travers, originally penned this book at the age of 10, to try and help her sisters through the anxiety of their ...

Album Notes
Creedence Clearwater Revival's continued their reputation as a consummate singles act with the release of COSMO'S FACTORY. Three of its singles, the blazing "Travelin' Band," the driving sting of "Up Around The Bend," and the irresistibly sunny fantasia hoedown "Looking Out My Back Door" (complete with tambourines and elephants) each achieved gold status. These tunes hit the mark completely, capturing the group's accessible, hook-laden rock 'n' roll with a lightness and urgency balanced by stinging guitars, unforgettable melodies, and the expressive voice of lead singer/songwriter John Fogerty. Though COSMO'S FACTORY has its share of covers, including a version of the Sun Records oldie "Oobie Doobie" and an extended jam on the Marvin Gaye classic "I Heard It Through the Grapevine," it still overflows with great originals. "Ramble Tamble" and "Run Through the Jungle" are edgy rockers build around killer guitar riffs, both driven by an uncharacteristically dark, shadowy feel. "Long As I Can See the Light" is full of plaintive yearning, while the poignant "Who'll Stop the Rain" ranks among Fogerty's finest tunes. Creedence's ability to fuse traditional pop elements with downhome simplicity, rock edge, and superb songcraft is in full effect on COSMO'S FACTORY, placing it alongside GREEN RIVER and WILLIE AND THE POOR BOYS as one of their best albums.
