..., and still are, but i still enjoy listening to a wide range of music from all walks of life.
As my record collection grew there tended to be a large number of Rock 'n' Roll and Country albums.
When the new age of CDs came along it was going to be a big job recreating that collection on to disc. Although the records were still there, with the arrival of children and the changes of lifes circumstances there became less & less oppertunity to get the records down and have a session as i use to as a youngster.
But i still loved thoes country sounds and radio was the more popular option i got to listen to some.
Now that time has passed on even further the CD collection is starting to gain a little respect with yet again music from all walks of life including a few Everly Brothers and some country.

He had used the format prior to “Tommy”. “Rael” (a surprising title now given the name of the sect that has recently declared it has succeeded in cloning a human child) was his second attempt at a mini rock opera (after “A Quick One While He’s Away”.). Lots of riffs and themes are lifted out of this piece and recycled in “Tommy” – listen to ‘The Underture’.

Leonard Cohen's recording career began with the release of "The Songs of Leonard Cohen". Cohen already had a career as a poet and novelist and his career as a musician might never have taken off without the encouragement of Judy Collins. Although he had been one of "The Buckskin Boys" - a trio performing country standards - they had not come close to troubling the charts or threatening to make a career of their music.
So in 1967, fresh from several years on the Greek island of Hydra, Cohen looked to expand his artistic horizons.
