This is an absolutely classic album. Every track is brilliant, the guitar sound is amazingly brutal, drums pound, bass throbs, and vocals veer from gruff to scream in an instant. Every song is a highlight, but there are several standouts - the planet-moving heaviosity of Cowboys From Hell, the pace of Domination, and the quite simply amazing Cemetary Gates. And thus was born the ultimate in-your-face metal band from its trashy glam roots. Dimebag Darrell's guitar playing is amazing, and Phil Anselmo spreads his lyrical bile all over the proceedings. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this album to anyone who has even the remotest interest in traditional, conrete-heavy thrash/heavy metal.
