So i know this film was out quite a while ago now, but i recently just bought the soundtrack!! If i had heard beforehand, i probably wouldn't have mind you!
Anyway, there are 12 tracks on the album, only about four or five of them are decent - the rest are just ok, reasonable at least! They are as follows.....
1 ~ CANT FIGHT THE MOONLIGHT - LEANNE RIMES ~~ This is the theme tune to the film Coyote Ugly. Its probably one of the better tracks, i like it and it will make you want to dance! Its got a god beat to it.
2 ~ PLEASE REMEMBER - LEANN RIMES ~~ Slow and romantice are words which pop into my head as i listen to this song. Its a love song definitely but it has a certain flare to it, its great! Full of emotion too!
3 ~ THE RIGHT KIND OF WRONG - LEANN RIMES ~~ This has a great rhythm to it and the tune is quite catchy - it will stick in your head probably! I like this one too, its more of a dance track.
4 ~ BUT I DO LOVE YOU - LEANN RIMES (AGAIN!) ~~ Another love song, full of emotion and passion but its not really that great to be honest. I think its anoying and i think you will too.
5 ~ ALL SHE WANTS TO IS DANCE - DON HENLEY ~~ Now we're talking! i love this song, its great and makes you want to get up and dance all night! it has great rythm and good lyrics, its an oldie but its not out-dated, not for me anyway!
6 ~ UNBELIEVABLE - EMF ~~ Why they put this track in the film i'll never know! its not anything special at all, and it is totally different from all the other tracks. i just dont like but thats not to say you wond either!
7 ~ THE POWER - SNAP ~~ See above! no, honestly, this is another track that sticks in your head but for all the wrong reasons. In a way its garage music but do not take my word for it! it just doesnt interest me in the least!
8 ~ NEED YOU TONIGHT - INXS ~~ I like this song, but i always did! It's an old pop classic (if you can call it that!) and it has a beat - you probably wouldnt dance to it though, unless its infront of the mirror!
9 ~ THE DEVIL WENT DOWN IN GEORGIA - THE CHARLIE DANIELS BAND ~~ Oh this is one great song! I would define it as being a kind of folklore, irishy tune, with loads of drums and beats - although its far to fast to dance along to! Its just fantastic!
10 ~ BOOM BOOM BOOM - RARE BLEND ~~ No its not the Vengaboys (whatever happened to them btw??) it is a very good dance track, in a way its boy-bandish - but better! theres a good tune behind the lyrics (they're not up to much!).
11 ~ DIDNT WE LOVE - TAMARA WALKER ~~ Another love song, but its a cross between country music and soppy love tunes! Its slow, and passionate but thats about it really, in other words nothing special.
12 ~ WE CAN GET THERE - MARY GRIFFIN ~~ I really like this one. Probably my favourite, but thats becuase its a dance track. That aside though, it actually is quite catchy although i cant for the life of me remember where in this film it was played!!
~~My thoughts?? Well to be honest i am listening to this at the moment - yes its at the top of the pile but somehow i think it will find its way to the bottom shortly!
~~Is it worth what you pay?? No, not really, i payed £16.99 (HMV) for it but i would say if you find it any cheaper then buy it! Its nothing special but i like it for some strange reason, and for that reason i am going to recommend it! Enjoy!
Advantages: Please remember - awesome song Disadvantages: The middle part of the album is TERRIBLE!
COYOTE UGLY - SOUNDTRACK
Whether or not you have seen, or even heard of the film Coyote Ugly, you will have no doubt heard some of the tracks from this film. This original soundtrack brings together some songs from different music genres, ranging from country to pop. There are various artists involved on the CD, although the most prominent artist is LeAnn Rimes. She starred in the movie, and so naturally would appear more than once on the album.
... ...theme song of the film Coyote Ugly. It is a country rock song. It begins with a couple of heavy rock chords, and then flows into something more country. Obviously, as with the vast majority of songs, the music builds up to the chorus. It is very addictive, and you will find yourself singing in in the shower afterwards.
My rating of this track = 9/10

Advantages: The Tracks from Leann Rimes Disadvantages: the rest of the tracks not modern and waste of money
...had seen the movie of Coyote Ugly, I knew that I had to get the soundtrack. I don’t usually feel this way about getting a soundtrack, I prefer buying the artist's album as opposed to a collection of artists, I felt differently about this one somehow. A selection of the tracks were incorporated into the film, the tracks used in the film were mostly sung by Leann Rimes who has a great voice and where the number one hit "Can't Fight The Moonlight" ... ...seeing the film and to my disappointment, it wasn't all it’s cracked up to be. Don’t get me wrong, the songs that are sung by Leann Rimes are great and strangely enough, all four of these songs are at the start of the album evidently showing the best of the albums tracks at the beginning. I thought that this film being all modern in feel, would have a modern sounding soundtrack, as did the matrix soundtrack. After these four songs sung ...

Advantages: some good songs Disadvantages: some not so good songs
I recently saw the film, Coyote Ugly and loved the songs used in the film. So I decided to buy the soundtrack. After a week or so I had finally got the album and was ready to play it, but then I found out that only 50% of the CD had decent songs, and the best ones were by LeAnne Rymes, the singer of Coyote Uglys theme tune, can't fight the moonlight. The others are quite good but are those type of songs which get boring after a while. The track listings ... ...Rimes This is the theme tune which as you probably know got to number 1 in the charts. A great track thats great to listen to over and over again. 2. Please Remember - LeAnn Rimes Also a good song by LeAnn. Has a catchy tune. 3. The Right Kind Of Wrong - LeAnn Rimes This is one of my favourites. An exellent song which I love listening to and i'm sure you will aswell. 4. Coyote Ugly is a lovely romantic film. Adam Garcia is very Travolta-esque, more films with you like this please :-D My track by track review is as follows:
1. Can't Fight the Moonlight - LeAnn Rimes. Excellent number 1 hit. Like the tone changes and powerful vocals.
2. Please Remember - LeAnn Rimes. A slow song about missing a loved one.
3. The Right Kind Of Wrong - LeAnn Rimes. Great song, rocky a little and fun.
4. But I Do Love You - LeAnn ... ...To Do Is Dance - Don Henley. This song is quite like the song you would have in a saloon on a wild night.
6. Unbelievable - EMF. A classic. This song makes the album a hit for the lads.
7. The Power - Snap. Very 80's but ok to listen to. I think that a modern mix of this song would do well.
8. Need You Tonight - INXS. Male vocals wooing the ladies. The song is cheeky 'one of my kind'.
