1. “Intro-Lude”

Starting things here you find that they perform one of the biggest singles from the album. I have to say that ... ...I can’t see how it became as successful as it did as it really lack energy, and there’s not really a lot going on with it. All I can appreciate is the well-written lyrics which guide them as they do it here. They sample classic Slick Rock, but it is done in such a subtle way that it almost has no influence upon it whatsoever.
**Two Stars**

I have to say that I really wasn’t all that into what comes here, and I can’t see how it became as successful as it did as it really lack energy, and there’s not really a lot going on with it. All I can appreciate is the well-written lyrics which guide them as they do it here. **Two Stars**
3. “Kick Your Game”
I saw this as the only real banger from the album, and I really can’t see how it can be taken any other way as it find that with some hardcore beats from Jermaine Dupri,. They are able to some up with a killer up-tempo joint. It is a funky one and stands right out in an album filled with lots of plain tracks.
**Five Stars**
4. “Diggin’ On You”
Here you have them dropping the tempo for a song which was the fourth and final single for the album. It has them slow it all significantly and I felt that as they chose to do this, unlike how you get later on the album, the quality improves greatly. I felt that this was down to the fact that it takes a while for the standards to mature to a state where you see it as a big one, and this comes with begin release as a single, and although its not as catchy as it could be, its strong after a while.
**Four Stars**
5. “Case Of The Fake People”
I saw this one as one of the better tunes on the album as it finds that they kick one which contrasts from the general feel of the record. This is one of the few occasions where this release allows for a Left Eye rap, and with this being one of the main features of their first album, and how this managed to launch them as one of the most original R&B acts out there, especially for a female act (billed as New Jill Swing).
**Four Stars**
6. “CrazySexyCool” (Lude)
7. “Red Light Special”
Here you have them backed by Babyface again as they choose to do a song which finds them take the pace right down as they do a song where they focus their attention upon doing another sensual one. I would have to say that I wasn’t really keen on what you here in this one and it didn’t particularly have anything special to give here. I felt tit held it back as you could sense something big.
**Two Stars**
8. “Waterfalls”
Just as “Creep”, from earlier on in the album, this is a single which dropped as one of their biggest, but I just couldn’t get into it in the way that a lot of others evidently did. I’m sure that the big-budget video was partly down to this, but I can’t see the appeal here and so it seems to result in very little s it doesn’t really show anything all that original for them.
**Two Stars**
9. “Intermission-Lude”
10. “Let’s Do It Again”
I was quite disappointed by what came here, as from the title, I expected something quite lively and energetic, but this is something which just didn’t come through, and it meant that you simply couldn’t get into it. I felt as though those who enjoyed the first successful point form this album will like this too, but personally, it just wasn’t for me, and it meant that it made for a poor starter to this album, and a poor-set up to what would follow-on form it.
**Two Stars**
11. “If I Was Your Girlfriend”
Prince is the one behind this one, and if you are aware of the type of thing that the artist was able here, then you probably have a fairly good idea of what exactly to expect from this as he doesn’t really surprise to much with this mid-tempo tune classic Zapp’s “Computer Love” as you have them singing about just how good hey would be to their man if they were able to hook up with the person they have in mind.
**Three Stars**
12. “Sexy – Interlude”
13. “Take Our Time”
Here you have them performing a song which although it has them on a low tempo, has them come up with something well worth a listen as it shows that they really knowhow to do things well as they do the sensual work and take inspiration form their male counterparts in the genre. It seems to be much better than the rest of its sort tin the album, and I felt that the fact that it wasn’t chosen as a single was a good thing in this case.
**Four Stars**
14. “Can I Get A Witness – Interlude”
15. “Switch”
Here you have things take a fair change, just as the title suggests as you find that they decide that its time to make things a little more up-tempo, and so in order to get this across you have Jermaine Dupri do the beats and construct one which is based upon “Mr. Big Stuff”, so you have a little groove in this to hype the listener as you get that they do a more lively recording.
**Four Stars**
16. “Somethin’ Wicked Comes This Way”
Ending things here you have a track which makes big changes as you find that the Dungeon Family take over and show how people do things in the Dirty South by having Organized Noize on production and Dre of OutKast providing the opening rap. Have to say that I really wasn’t keen on anything but the initial burst from the OutKast member, and the rest was a rather plain and so it results in a disappointing recording.
**Two Stars**
I have to say that this really wasn’t that good a release in comparison to what you found with their debut. I felt that the amount of slower, sensual tracks held it back as it was the up-tempo work which initially appealed to me, and so this release just wasn’t going in the direction I would have liked to have heard by them.
Advantages: all the songs Disadvantages: TLC didn't release another album after this until 1999
This album is well worth the money. I bought it because I heard the songs Waterfalls and Creep and I immediately wanted to hear the rest of the album. This album, the second from TLC, features these 2 hit singles plus many other great tracks. Again working with producer Dallas Austin, the album contains ballads, uptempo songs, summer songs and dance tracks.
In my opinion this album was the best album to be released in it's year of release and is ... ...has some timeless songs on it. Wateralls is my personal favourite off the album and includes some very deep messages, like TLC's songs do. Also there are tracks such as 'Sumthin Wicked This Way Comes' which is a very beautiful ballad, 'Diggin' On You' which is a perfect summer chilling song, 'Switch' which is an uptempo fun track and 'Case of The Fake People' which is a great R'n'B song. As well as many other tracks, I would definitely reccomend ...

TLC, Does it really stand for Tender Loving Care? ‘Cos Left eye sure needed some of that when she burnt her ex’s house to the ground! Oh dear, the poor girl!
TLC have had a few ups and downs in their career, well quite a lot actually! But that doesn’t stop them from putting out some of the best tunes! Crazy, Sexy, Cool is a great album, with lots of tunes for all occasions. My favourite would have to be ‘The Red Light Special’, for when I’m feeling ...

Advantages: All their old tunes are classics. Each tune is an advantage in itself and the interludes are really funny Disadvantages: There is nothing bad to say about these three lovely ladies
This album is a classic! TLC (which stands for T-Boz, Left eye and Chilli - their names) made this album and its really good. It was brought out in 1994 and the music is still good to listen to today!
You've all heard of Creep, Waterfalls and Kick your Game - well this is the album that brought us these tunes! Lisa Lopez (Left Eye) was a really talented writter, singer and rapper and Crazy Sexy Cool being an early album just goes to show how good ... ...tunes she did before she died, you can really see how much she evolved from being a good musician to a great one! This album, is definantly worth getting. Even though it is an old one - it represents the begining of an era, the begining of TLC! ...

Advantages: Lyrics & no scrubs the song Disadvantages: better albums on the market
Honest to God, I am the biggest TLC fan, and have been so for a long time. I waited something like 5 years for 'Fanmail' and it wasn't exactly a waste of money but didn't exactly live up to it's full potential either. 'No Scrubs' is amazing, it will be and r'n'b classic, it is simply stunning. Yet it does not run consistent.. songs like 'If They Knew', with it's dumbass beats and chorus, 'Automatic' with it's cheesy 'futuristic' sounds and 'Lovesick' are simply BAD. Yet 'No Scrubs', 'Unpretty', 'Dear Lie' make up for it. The rest seem more mediocre. TLC have certainly grown lyrically, and still exude sassiness and attitude, and that men-bashing anthem is a must. Chilli has more vocal parts and LeftEye and give any Wu member a run for his money. But on 'Fanmail' I certainly felt they could do better, c'mon girls, I KNOW you can!! 'CrazySexyCool ...
Advantages: No Scrubs and a couple of other tracks Disadvantages: It is nothing new and there are too many interludes
TLC really hit the big time with their album ?Crazysexycool?, and there were always going to be huge expectations surrounding the release of their follow ?Fanmail?. Things did not look promising when the release was delayed because of group in fighting, an acrimonious management split, and it was over five years before the promise of the follow up was delivered in 1999. The name of the album was chosen in tribute to every single person who has ever sent them fan mail.
Opening track is the title track ?Fanmail?. Rather than hearing the girls? vocals, you are greeted with a computerized voice telling you who the album is dedicated to. The real vocals soon kick in, and T Boz is immediately recognizable as the dominant voice amongst the three, whilst Chilli provides the back up, and Lisa Lopes enters the song from time to time to sing ...
CRAZYSEXYCOOL won a 1996 Grammy Award for Best R&B Album, and "Creep" won a 1996 Grammy for Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal. "Creep" and "Red Light Special" were both nominated for Best R&B Song; "Waterfalls" was nominated for Record Of The Year and for Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal. The elements that had this precocious trio's debut album blasting out of playgrounds, top 40 radio stations and even rock critics' Walkmans are still here--infectious dance grooves, pop melodies and sassy raps that put '90s feminism into action. But CRAZYSEXYCOOL also launches TLC from girlhood into youngwomanhood, with, on one hand, Janet Jackson-esque paens to sex ("Let's Do It Again") and, on the other, melodically downbeat ghetto ballads ("Waterfalls") that recall Stevie Wonder as a young man. The scratchy world-weariness of the lead vocal in "Waterfalls" is one of several nods to classic soul singing. "Case Of The Fake People," written by Dallas Austin, alludes to the O'Jays' "Backstabbers," and "If I Was Your Girlfriend" is a cover of Prince at his most sincere (oddly unreversing his role reversal). And the single "Creep" is a "Dark End Of The Street" for the '90s, a cheating song that walks a tightrope between young love and revenge.
