Review of Crimson - Alkaline Trio by  breaker

Advantages: Great Follow on from their last album
Disadvantages: Simliar Tracks to last album and same sound throughout

...Alkaline trio are a band that have been around for 10 years and have released 6 albums and 11 ep's. consisting of: Matt Skiba (Lead guitar, Vocals) Dan Andriano(Bass guitar, Vocals) Derek Grant(Drums) this album produced by jerry finn (green day, blink 182) is the pinnicle of alkaline trios carrer and there new sound and mixture of hellish lyrics and pop/punk mellodys make thier sound unique. So far they have released 6 albums. Godammit - 1998 Maybe i'll catch fire -2000 Alkaline trio - 2000 From here to infirmary - 2001 Good mourning - 2003 Crimson - 2005 Tracklist: 1. Crimson, The new album
Review of Crimson - Alkaline Trio by  Ataris

Advantages: An overall good album
Disadvantages: mildly similar sounding songs

...May i start off by saying that i'm no hardcore fan of Alkaline trio but like their stuff and bought the new album as i enjoyed the last. Alkaline Trio formed in 1997 with the intent of creating a sound that hadn't been heard before a kind of melodic dark punk grunge sound. In 1998 they released "Goddamnit", then in 2000 came "Maybe I'll catch fire" 2001 was when it really kicked off for the trio with the release of "From here to ther infirmary" this album got the attention of a global audience with singles including "Stupid Kid" and "Private eye". When you first press play on your cd player and you hear the intro to "Time to waste" your first thought is the trio are back. "Time to waste" is a great accomplishment. Lyrically it's tight and as with most trio songs the melody and harmony between the guys is unique and will soon... Read review

From Here To Infirmary
Review of From Here To Infirmary - Alkaline Trio by  pluginbaby

Advantages: Good music!
Disadvantages: Not quite what I expected.

...Track Listing: 1. Private Eye 2. Mr. Chainsaw 3. Take Lots With Alcohol 4. Stupid Kid 5. Another Innocent Girl 6. Steamer Truck 7. You're Dead 8. Armageddon 9. I'm Dying Tomorrow 10. Bloodied Up 11. Trucks and Trains 12. Crawl Emo-punk band Alkaline Trio released their third full-length studio album 'From Here To Infirmary' in 2001. I brought this album after having listened to 'Private Eye' on a Kerrang! compilation album some time ago. I would not say that I'm disappointed with my purchase, but it wasn't at all what I had expected after hearing Private Eye. Some of the songs have a much more punk-pop feel to them, (unlike Private Eye), and I would certainly reccommend this album to fans of Green Day, Blink 182, and so on. I would also recommend listening to most of it before purchase, so as not to be quite as suprised as I was when... Read review
