Advantages: An impressively accurate and very well made re-issue of a classic retro toy. Disadvantages: The "dilemma" ... should I open and play or keep sealed and display ???
of toy technology. Robots that "transformed" into vehicles was probably the coolest toy concept to have hit the shelves and for those of you lucky enough to have owned some of the first generation Transformers toys you would have been the envy of your friends !!!
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY FROM THE AUTOBOTS !!!
1984 was a long time ago but to mark that special anniversary Hasbro have released a commemorative 25thAnniversaryEdition of the greatest Transformer of all time ... Optimus Prime !!!
And, whilst the toys based on the CGI created Optimus Prime from this summer's blockbuster may look impressive nothing can quite beat the retro feel of the original Transformers toys ... and this Optimus Prime toy has been accurately produced so that it has both the look and feel of the 1984 original.

Advantages: Music that is innovative and original and strangely beautiful Disadvantages: One or two tracks prevent the album from being an all time classic
This is a review of the recently released remasterededition. It contains the same tracks as the original except for a slightly different cover, a booklet containing extra photos and notes from Laurie Anderson and some two bonus tracks: an alternate version of 'O Superman' and 'Walk the Dog', which also featured on the United States box-set and in earlier stage performances. 'Walk the Dog' was the B-Side of the original "O Superman" single. There is also a video clip for 'O Superman' included in the package.
Influences and Historical SettingThis album is mostly derived from Anderson's four-hour one-woman stage presentation 'United States I - IV'. Here we are talking about the United States of the late 1970s and early 1980s, the Carter and Reagan era. These were released as a box set of live recordings some years after 'Big Science ...
Advantages: Remastered, plenty of extra's Disadvantages: n/a
This latest repackage of the classic Stephen Spielberg film is a must for its fans. The film itself is untouched other than being digitally remastered but the extras are well worth the money for the disc.
A 50 minute documentary "The Making of Jaws" is an interesting insight into the problems during production, i.e., the Technicians strike and the creature not working. There is also talk of a scene that was deemed too violent at the time but which would make it into a certificate 12 film today.
Included also are the obligatory deleted scenes, outtakes, cast & filmaker notes and trailers. There are 720 photos which were taken during filming plus the production notes which are detailed as follows:
1) Story Board and Drawings
2) Production Photo
3) Marketing Material
4) The Jaws phenomenon

Echo & The Bunnymen: Ian McCulloch (vocals, guitar); Will Sergeant (guitar); Les Pattinson (bass); Pete De Freitas (drums). Additional personnel: David Balfe (keyboards). Recorded at Rockfield Studios, Monmouth, England. Originally released on Sire (6096). Includes liner notes by Max Bell. Emerging from Liverpool, England in 1980, Echo and the Bunnymen were hailed as the vanguard of a new psychedelic-rock movement. While vocalist Ian McCulloch's cryptic lyrics and Will Sergeant's colorful guitar arrangements do evoke the dark, brooding intensity of '60s groups like the Doors, Echo and the Bunnymen owed more to English post-punk than '60s rock. Featuring songs that range from the supercharged three-chord garage rock of "Do It Clean" and the crashing album opener, "Going Up," to the hazy neo-psychedelia of "Villiers Terrace" and "Pictures on My Wall," CROCODILES is a remarkably good debut, one that established Echo and the Bunnymen as one of most creative and charismatic English rock bands of the '80s. The American edition of CROCODILES also boasts the single "Rescue," a dramatic, melodic track that layers McCulloch's gritty rhythm guitar over Sergeant's chiming lead and producer David Balfe's subtle keyboard work to create one of the definitive U.K. singles of the post punk era. While Echo and the Bunnymen would later become modern-rock icons, CROCODILES captures them in all their raw, ragged glory, trying to emulate the work of their heroes David Bowie and the Velvet Underground but instead creating music of startling originality.
Album Reviews
Entertainment Weekly (3/5/04, p.68) - "While lead moper Ian McCulloch channels Jim Morrison on morphine, the rest of the quartet cranks out spiky post-punk riffs sharp enough to draw blood." - Rating: A- Q (8/02, p.71) - "The first post-punk psychedelic album. CROCODILES is all lysergic blots of guitar and pulsating keyboards..." NME (9/25/93, p.19) - Ranked #28 in NME's list of The 50 Greatest Albums Of The '80s.
