Bon Jovi are a five piece rock band hailing from New Jersey. Their original line up consisted of Jon Bongiovi (Vocals and Guitar), Richie Sambora (Lead Guitar), Tico Torres (Drums), David Bryan (Keyboards) and Alec John Such (Bass). Such left the band in 1994 and was replaced by Hugh Macdonald. Often hailed as one of the greatest rock bands of the 1980's (and not just by me before you ask!), Bon Jovi have something for everyone. Their style of accessable, non agressive soft rock ensures that they cater for all tastes.
Crossroad is the Greatest Hits album from Bon Jovi. It is a collection of 15 songs, all of which have, at some stage between 1984 and 1994 been huge chart hits. The track listing is as follows:
1. Livin' on a Prayer 2. Keep the Faith 3. Someday I'll be Saturday Night 4. Always 5. Wanted Dead or Alive 6. Lay your hands on me 7. You give love a bad name 8. Bed of Roses 9. Blaze of Glory 10. In these arms 11. Bad Medicine 12. I'll be there for you 13. In & out of love 14. Runaway 15. Never say goodbye
There isn't a bad track on the album in my opinion, there are rocking anthems like Livin' on a Prayer and slow ballads which make instant romantic classics like Always. I think my personal favourites are Someday I'll be Saturday Night and In these arms but really there isn't much to choose between all the songs here.
The inlay has lots of pictures of the band, and not too much else to be honest, there are no lyrics listings but you will probably find that you know most of them already! There are details of the various fanclubs etc.
The album is available cheaply enough (about £8.99 on Amazon), and is available in most music shops.
I would recommend this album to everyone, especially if you don't own any Bon Jovi albums - it really is a true 'best of' album.
