Advantages: The Corrs sounds is still there, in the centre of it all. Disadvantages: It is a bit bland and not unique at all!
...If you like the Corrs and don't find Andrea's voice simpering and the other two sisters' harmonies monotonous, then you'll enjoy this album. If you were only on the border of being a fan or hate them anyway, then steer clear.
Essentially, tired of their fresh pop/irish sound (which was already going a bit bland in talk on corners) they have reverted to "stuff that sells". If you wanted to find the cross between The Nolans, Dana (for the irish thing), Madonna, Shania Twain, The Beautiful South, Belinda Carlisl and whatever else they could emulate, then this is the album for you. If not, then be sure to listen to it in the store before considering a purchase.
Essentially, this is a pleasant enough album and I have been able to listen to it on a loop without throwing up... but I doubt it's for everyone....

Advantages: The essence of eighties rock in one album. Disadvantages: A couple of tracks have perhaps not stood the test of time.
...INXS were the biggest band to have not quite crossed the border into the territory of the really greats, such as their contemporaries U2. This album made their name in America with tracks like Never Tear Us Apart and Need You Tonight, while Mystify remains their most enduring song in Britain.
I only became a fan after the death of the Jim Morrison-like frontman Micheal Hutchence, so the album takes on an almost tragic quality for me, particularly on Never Tear Us Apart which was Huthence`s swan song.
Much of Kick is really of its time. I found the very eighties and in hindsight slightly cheesy sound on, for example, A New Sensation, a little hard to get past at first, so I would say that this album is a "grower" and improves with familiarity.
The beauty of many of the songs lies in their simplicity - Mystify has quite a basic...

Advantages: everything Disadvantages: apart from the fact that the american cover is better
...As Less than Jake said themselves, this album is about the ` Social and physical borders and boundaries`
`Wow, thats deep` - Other members of LTJ
The first Less than Jake song i had ever heard was, like most people, `all my friends are metal heads`
I loved it and the horn sections allways brighten things up allot. Its not your normal punk kinda band cause they offer a lot more musical genius.
When i first stuck in borders and boundaries the first thing that struck me is that it is a little slower than their other records. They arent selling out, just going for a different sound. And I like it.
You must buy this cd, your life depends on it. it doesnt really matter what youre into, the chances are you will really like this cd. I cant see any draw backs and i will continue to support less than jake....
