Review of Midian - Cradle Of Filth by kuap

Advantages: very original style of death metal, Dani's vocals
Disadvantages: no songs seem to stand out.

...(EDIT... I HAVE REALISED THAT I HAVE REVIEWED THE WRONG ALBUM.. I HAVE ACTUALLY REVIEWED "DUSK... AND HER EMBRACE" BY THE SAME BAND) This album starts of pretty typical CofF style, with the eerie sounding synth-type thing, closely followed by "Heaven Torn Asunder" which is nicely structured, with the usual pounding drums, and dynamic vocals. No song stands out as particularly bad on this album, but in reply to that, none of the tracks seem outstandingly brilliant. Sure, the guitar work, is technical and sounds pretty impressive, and the songs are well written, but they just don't seem to stand out from each other. This could be because the songs are all pretty long, and the tempo changes often, giving the impression of a different song starting. Saying that, I find "A Gothic Romance" a very impressive song. Also, the choirs in "Dusk... Read review

Eminem
Review of Marshall Mathers LP, The (Explicit) - Eminem by jesseh

Advantages: nice clean sound
Disadvantages: predictable lyrics

...Well, we all really have our opinions on this famous rapper/artist. If you like rap/hip hop/r&b and the sorts, you may want to check him out. Because pretty much everyone has one of his songs, (at least) stuck in their heads, and The tunes/beats and vocals play pretty well together. "Eminem" is a pretty simple, yet deep person, and both worlds come out in this album. ITs well worth a try! You'll soon know all of his words, to all of his songs, they are catchy enough to lure anyone into loving him. Growing up in hard places, in hard backgrounds, and hard parents, aggression, and anger is of course a big thing while discussing this album. Some songs being completely angry, and other's being completely happy, and lighthearted, that you can pretty much listen to it no matter how you feel! If you havent heard him, definatly, and i mean... Read review
