Advantages: Catchy tunes Disadvantages: Sometimes lacking in flow
...I bought this album after hearing 'Hold You Down' by Fat Joe and Jennifer Lopez, and was impressed. As white rappers go, most people can only name one (Eminem), but hopefully with this album, Fat Joe will be able to step up alongside Marshall and become a well known face in pop culture.
Generally the album is pretty solid. Vocally, Fat Joe is reasonably fresh, and his slightly aggressive style goes well with the music. Melodically the album isn't incredibly strong (nothing compared to the instrumental masterpieces penned by the likes of Kanye West). The backing vocals can, at times, seem high pitched, very synthetic and generally aggravating. Occasionally, tracks can lose their flow due to poor lyrics or pauses in the vocals.

...Culture Club are the best group of the 80's, they had originality and brillance and this album demonstrates that. The lead vocals of Boy George are great and the sound uis fantastic. My favourite song of theirs of all time which is on this album Karma Chameleon, this is the one of the greatest songs of the 80's. They are many different tones being mixed over the other while a catchy tune is being played which is just wonderful. Do you want to Hurt me is also another classic included as is Its a miracle, this is an album not to be missed and contains the best of the 80's....

The rest of the CD is, as I say, filled with the typical playlist of commercial stations of a couple of years back. And it is amazing how many of these songs are still being spun (ha! That tern dates me, for sure!) on the same stations, today. Turn Around by Phats and Small, Culture Club, Beverley Knight, Bryan adams, Gomez, the Stereophonics, Madness, The Chemical Brothers, Melanie G, ad the somewhat unlikely DJ Jurgen Presents Alice Deejay.
There's also an immensely irritating 'comedy/novelty' song by the Cartoons, the Doodah song...
