Stars over Cloughanover This is a slowish but happy song about somebody walking home at night looking at the stars and doesn't want to be anywhere else as he loves it there. This has a good slow beat and rythum to the song.
If only A track about somebody who wants to tell his feelings to somebody of how he feels for her but never done it. A medium paced track with a good story behind the song.
Wisdom of youth Medium paced song about growing up and the things that you realize. One of the longest tracks of the album and one of the best written.
Vulnerable A song about someone who likes a girl but behind his back she talks about him and can't even look him in the face when he speaks to her as she knows that he does.
Me without you A medium paced song about looking at somebody else, seeing them alone and imagining himself to be like that without his wife.
Going home A song about somebody looking forward to going home at Christmas and seeing all the frost like he used to remember the place, and waiting for the moment to see his family again.
Your guitar Good fast paced song with a lot of Guitar music ! This is a track about loving the sound of your guitar.
Funny World A song about all of what happens when you think about what people want to do with their lives. Another medium paced song with good instrumentals for the background.
I'll say goodnight Slow paced song about somebody knowing that he has met someone good and wants to spend the rest of his life waking up to her every morning. Well thought out lyrics. All in all I thought that this was their best album they have ever made, all of the songs are very well written, sung, and the instrumentals are marvelous. I found this was a great mixture of slow, fast and a lot thought provoking songs. Tracks like "Last summer in New York" I liked as it was a good fast paced track with a good beat, and others like "I'll say goodnight" and "Stars over Cloughanover" were thought provoking songs with slow thought out lyrics and easy to follow songs.
The length of the tracks is very good with the average being four minutes long. The instrumentals are a big part of the band and the guitar is a big feature in some songs more than others. There are quite a lot of mixtures for every song weather it be drums and guitar, or harmonica alone.
The Cover of the CD just simply has the band standing in a field, not all jazzed up as it didn't need to be. The CD itself has a good printing of The Cure title with The Saw Doctors overlapping it.
