This new album from eminem consists of 3 new songs "Shake That" which is basiclly a club type song featuring Nate Dogg. The lyrics on this track are great and the song just flows all the way through. "Fack" is a sexually explicit joke track which most parents probably wouldn't let their children listen to. Personally this track isn't all that great but has its funny moments. "When Im Gone" is a song dedicated to his daughter Hailie Jade. There's not much swearing in this one though. Lose yourself is probably one of his most well known tracks from his film 8 mile and, lets face it, the track's great - one of his best, if not the best. My Name Is, is another track that I feel is being made as a joke but does have a serious point. Stan ft dido is a great track. It's got everthing; good vocals, good original lyrics, great flow and good listing. There's also a serious edge to the song like Lose Yourself. Mockingbird is another track with good lyrics about his daughter, basically saying that he'd do anything for her. Guilty Conscience ft Dr Dre is about Eminem and Dr Dre playing the devil and angel on some peoples shoulders. They end up having some rather funny arguments whilst still maintaining the typical Eminem style lyrics.
And to conclude, if you're looking for a good rap album with a serious but funny side to it and one that maintains good lyrics all the way through then this album is a great album.
According to wikipedia this album grabbed the No.1 spot in the UK Charts after just 2 days of selling, just like his previous album Encore but thats a different review. The album is still selling in shops and is currently at 2.5 million give or take a few hundred thousand.

Review of Curtain Call (Deluxe Edition/Parental Advisory/The Hits) [Digipak] [PA] - Eminem
Advantages: wiked album. great songs Disadvantages: none
...ones-- now he has released Curtain Call, his greatest hits album. As we all know, the job of a Greatest Hits album is not to create a CD of the fan's favorites; it is to assemble all of the hit SINGLES and arrange them on one CD, sprinkled with a few new and/or unreleased songs. Curtain Call does just that. The Intro is snazzy, and the three new songs all bring something new to the table-- Fack is silly, but catchy; Shake That is good song, but feels ... ...and finally, When I'm Gone shows a retrospective Eminem, and I think it is one of his best tracks. As for the arranging of the other hits, I approve for the most part. I strongly feel that "Mockingbird" should not be on this album, as it fails to create the emotional impact as Hailie's Song, which was the more popular song with the radios and fans alike. "Superman" should have been on here, as it is a single that the radio still plays to this day. ...

Personnel: Eminem; Joe Perry (guitar); Dido, Jay-Z, Nate Dogg. Recording information: 54 Sound, Detroit, Michigan (1997 - 2005). It's hard to believe, given his gargantuan impact on popular culture, that Eminem had only released four full-length albums by 2004. That year's ENCORE showed the rapper's artistic vitality fading just a bit, but 2005's CURTAIN CALL, an overdue greatest-hits collection, helps remind audiences that Eminem produced a stunning string of singles in a short span of time. Naturally, CURTAIN CALL eschews the artist's most controversial material ("'97 Bonnie and Clyde," for example, from THE SLIM SHADY LP), focusing instead on his highest charters, like 8 MILE's "Lose Yourself" and introspective confessionals like "Cleanin' Out My Closet" (a rant against his mother) and "Mockingbird" (a tribute to his daughter). But even at his most sentimental and dramatic, Eminem displays a level of artistry that surpasses nearly anyone in hip-hop, if not pop music in general. Satirical, vicious, funny, and energizing, Eminem's material is never less than absorbing. CURTAIN CALL is packed wall-to-wall with winners (except maybe "Sing For the Moment," which reworks Aerosmith's "Dream On" in tiresome fashion), and at its most brilliant (like the self-reflexive romps "The Real Slim Shady" and "Stan") it's as era-defining as anything by N.W.A, Public Enemy, or even Bob Dylan. Though his individual albums are all pretty essential, CURTAIN CALL provides a valuable overview of an artist whose skills are unassailable, and whose role as a social gadfly remains as complex as ever.
