This is the first Runrig CD I ever heard and to this day it remains my favourite. Features haunting melodies as in Hearts of Olden Glory and The Only Rose and more uptempo songs such as Protect and Survive. The last track is An Ubhal As Airde which is Gaelic for the Highest Apple and is based on the Gaelic psalms. It was used as the music for Carlsberg beer advert. All songs on this CD are written and composed by brothers Calum Macdonald and Rory Macdonald who hail from the island of Skye. Rory adds baacking vocals to those of brilliant lead singer Donnie Munro. He is bass player as well whilst Calum is percussionist. This CD gives hours of happy listening
