...see is what you get. Dj ez is pure class and is on a different level to any other dj on a garage level, the pure garage series rules. All the mixes are top class, the only thing wrong is there are no mc's working the tunes, mc's are good because they can keep a track going for as long as it is playing. It is a great series. I think these tracks are perfect for a chilled out party because they could be in the backround and everyone could be danceing or just chilling listening to it. Just like the first Pure Garage this compilation delivers the best tunes that are doing the rounds in the top clubs aroung Britain. Again the sequal is mixed by none other then DJ EZ who must be up for a grammy this year, thats if they make up a catorgory for his natural talents. The CD version of Pure Garage II holds 40 tracks that are evenly split onto 2 CDs. There are tunes from DJ EZ, Craig David, Artful Dodger, Shola Ama, Sparks and MC Kie plus many more. The CD also features a great new track that is a tribute to all the MCs in Britain. If your into the Garage scence and you enjoyed the first Pure Garage then I'll recommend this albumn to you.... ...I bought this ablum for £0.99 of amazon second-hand. Bargin I'm thinking! Another good thing I can state about this double CD album is the quality of mixing and the techniques employed by Masterstepz. It is a well-mixed album. This CD was not really to my liking. I prefer the old skool garage rather than the underground and commercial vibes this CD presents. However, it does provide a refreshing change to the garage classics that are repeated continuously on all the Pure Garage Complimentions by EZ. And the mixing is by Masterstepz is at the same standard as DJ EZ. This CD provided commercial garage crews such as So Solid with 21 Seconds, Genius Crew with Course Bruv, K2 Family with Bouncing Flow and Pied Piper's crew with Do You Really Like It! ...are a garage lover looking for new material, look elsewhere. If you detest basslines, you can forget about buying this cd now. On the way is hard and heavy basslines, rough and ready MCing and some sweet and smooth female vocals. Five tracks from the Pure Garage series I think deserved to be on this album are: Bump N Flex - Promises; Dee Kline – I Don’t Smoke; Teebone Feat. MC Kie & MC Sparks – Fly Bi; Monsta Boy – Sorry; Shox – Monkey. The mixing is spot-on by DJ EZ and most of the time there’s a good track on the way in. If you don’t like it, there’s relief to be had via the skip button. Most of the track selection is excellent and there is diversity to be had in terms of the composition. Varying heavy bass-dominated tracks with proper songs given the remix treatment, plus the occasional track... Read review
