I have to say my preferred salon is Basildon; it is the biggest I have been to and seen. It?s a glass building right in the centre of Basildon?s pavilion square.
When Ilived in West Sussex I went to the Chichester salon, where a man called Billy worked, I was comfortable with him doing my hair. He left to go it alone, he wanted he?s own salon. So off he went and Toni & Guy in Basildon built.
After he left Chichester for Essex, there was only one thing for me to do. Drive 2 hours to get my hair cut, strange you may ask but very worth it. I then moved to Dorset, but Essex seemed to far from here. I tried the Bournemouth branch which was 30 minutes away. I asked for a top stylist which I was told I got. Advantages: Silly rom com with elements of hilarity Disadvantages: Standard plot, storyline and characters which we've all seen before
I purchased this film from Play for just under a fiver, i probably wouldnt spend anymore than this on it. Ok i was in one of those rom com moods, i had just splurged some well earned doe on 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall', 'Zack & Mirri' and other associated rom coms and happily clicked on the 'similar films' icon to find this one sitting there. Needless to say i bought it!
The tag line of 'Who will he take up the aisle' gave the story away immediately but i didnt care, reading the blurb made me call up my buddy and get him round for another one of those chinese food and two guys watching a rom com, nothing wrong with it. The girlfriend was out and she doesnt really like films that much, especially ones i buy. Ive actually agreed to throw out one of my toy godfather figures if she watches the trilogy, not gonna happen! Its a safe bet ...
Advantages: Freebie haircuts, friendly service, Disadvantages: May take longer than a normal cut, as the tutors will double check everything!
Before you read the rest of this review you need to know 2 things about me
1/ I HATE going to the hairdressers. Ever since a hideous haircut as an 8 year old that left me teased at school, and traumatised for life!!! And again, at 16 with a Toni and Guy's Stylist who just wouldn't listen to what I wanted at all!!! I left with big, bouffant, backcombed US soap star hair, which surprisingly didn't suit a 5 foot nothing school girl!
2/ I also hate people coming up to me on the street and trying to sell me stuff!
So, it was a very bizarre and unusual set of circumstances that found me this morning sitting in the Toni and Guy Training Academy on New Oxford Street, acting as a model for Rob, who was about to be assessed on his technique for cutting a classic bob! I'm not sure who was the most nervous, him or me!!!

(Hed) Pe pride themselves in their station as a rap-metal hybrid who aren't just about a predictable guitar assault with a few tossed in rhymes. The California band truly exists as both hip-hop innovators and metal provocateurs (mixing in a few other styles to boot).
