Typically Damned, they turned up late and just about averted a riot as most of the crowd thought that they weren't going to show. Captain Sensible strummed his guitar avec yashmak (I love the Capitano); Dave Vanian belted out the songs with his usual graveyard tones; Rat Scabies thrashed the drums; can't remember who was on bass guitar as The D have had so many. I seem to recall The Captain playing Disco Man for "...a bloke at the bar who'd bought him a drink earlier." So to their this effort - GRAVE DISORDER. Advantages: worth going to see
Disadvantages: might make you feel old.

...I know this is not in the right palce, but had to put in somewhere, lol. I was in Maidstone the other weekend, a town as far I know with a very little Goth base when I saw in one local pub, a poster advertising the Damned playing at The Basement in Maidstone on July 31. Brilliant I thought, that be a good gig remembering hazily back to the last time I saw the Damned play in Portsmouth 1985. The tickets were £16, so I went home, thought whom could I get to come with me to see this famous exciting band. I managed to grab a mate, who more of an biker than an old Goth, but was willing to have his mind opened up to some great music, lol. Paid for the tickets and looked forward to the evening, and told my works mates at I was off to see the Damned that weekend, I got looks and comments, like who are they, or I thought they had died, oh...
