So, having bought Save the Last Dance purely because it features Julia Stiles, I was very impressed with every aspect of this film. Save the Last Dance is a modern teenage love story, set against the backdrop of a neighbourhood which regularly sees gangland fighting and racial tension. With such tense subject matter, this film could have easily overly focused on the racial and gangland elements ...
Advantages: great atmosphere, great to see show in making Disadvantages: lots of waiting around
to be clapping and where we need to stop etc. He even does a few games with the audience which is pretty funny!
Sometimes the presenters will come out aswell to say hello and to just chatwhich is nice and then they normally srat the real thing.
The idea of baby ballroom was that the child couples under the age of 12 woud come out and dance a tango or rumba or waltz etc and then the judges would give their feedback. At the end of the show, the judges along with 2 adjudicators who watch from the edge, will decide who they think is the best three and they will go through to the semi final. The viewvers at home(on the night it airs) have the chance to vote for one more of the couples who didn't get through to then still go into the semi final.
There is a lot of stopping and starting during filming but again, it's interesting to see how much ...

The plot

This is set in the summer of 1963, seventeen-year-old Frances "Baby" Houseman is on holiday with her wealthy, family at Kellerman's. Baby is somewhat different to her sister Lisa and they both have different outlooks on life, and what they want to do with their futures. She has been named the first woman to hold a position in the U.S. Cabinet. Baby's father, Jake saved the resort owners Max's life and Max has been trying for years to get him up on his mountain.
One evening, Baby goes for a walk and that is when she first sees Johnny Castle, the dance instructor, you can see from her face she instantly likes him. Although she does think he is spoken for by Penny.
