" the Man is a wolf for the Man "... It is perhaps in the heart of
the pages of " the comedy of the asses ", of Hobbes, that the will
expresses of Kevin Costner, to pay homage to " forgotten " of the
American dream, took form. During decades, indeed, the Indians people
were fought without slackening by the new colonists, and gradually
driven out grounds which had seen them being born, to be finally
private their basic rights, and to be tiny room to living in animals
tracked within dirty and exiguous parks of greeting. Thus, modestly
and without falling into through Morals on a large scale, the 3h30 of
this film tend to give again the pride with a whole people which
suffer in silence.

For that, the film presents to us the history of an American soldier,
interpreted wondefuly and humanly by Kevin Costner, who following
an act of bravery sees the gates of the Great American West opening
with him. Virgin of all the prejudices which were taken in these
times, it embarks in this undecided adventure, and takes possession of
a fort given up by the white men, starting a long period of
loneliness, only intersected by the visit with a pleasant small wolf. But one day, by the chance of the things, materialized by
the rescue of an Indian, it becomes acquainted with the Sioux, people
of peaceful Indians of Dakota. Follows then a series of events which
will lead the young soldier and the Indians to forge a solid and
sincere friendship.Times pass, as well as the moments of happiness, and gradually,attracted by their honesty, their bravery and their wisdom, Kevin Costner goes disavowed his roots of white man and to be based in their habits and their practices, to learn their language, at the point to
become one as of their, at the point to become Dance with the Wolves.
But the chance once again will upset its life and will make him meet
the white men... and point out the meaning of the word cruelty to
him...

However, not of confusion dear ciaonaute, this film is not a
great lesson of simplistic morals which would consist in opposing the
Evil and the Good, made respectively by the Indians and the Men
White. On the contrary, and it is I believe that it is the greatest
success of this film, throughout these 3h30, it is an impression of
entertainment which prevails. For proof, how much insane laughter we
had with my English friends at the time of this film, in particular
when Kevin Costner tries to make comprehensible itself with the
Indians. In short, not of naive philosophy or great principles
moralists, which in any case would not have convinced the public. On
the other hand, it is once that the projectors or television are
extinct, it is once that the insane laughter fell down, it is once
that our spirit takes again its rights which one starts to immediately
think of the morals of this history. Each one is free to think what
he wants.

It would be incomplete to finish this article of the kind, without
blowing words on the quality of turning and especially the beauty of
great wild spaces which characterize this area of the United States.
In short, a true invitation with the dream and the travel! Lastly, to
loop the loop, it is advisable to add that the music is with the
height of the unit because they stick perfectly to the atmosphere
which emerges from film! Useless to insist, this film is a true masterpiece, and if you have a little time, devote one evening to
re-examine this ode with the friendship, the respect and the
tolerance... to meditate; -)
