Vividly described in Juliet Nicolson's book, the summer of 1911 was one of the hottest of the last century. It is often said that the British love to talk about the weather. Well, people of all backgrounds must certainly have found plenty to say during the five month period covered by this book. The events of the summer were diverse, including a coronation, strikes at the dockyards, a hectic calender of social occasions for the wealthy, and a daily battle to survive for the poor. Juliet Nicolson uses the soaring temperatures as the thread that links together the people who appear in her book. Whether aristocrats or factory workers, they were all experiencing 'The Perfect Summer'. But was it really so perfect?

If your like me and love your dance music no matter what era it's in then you're going to love this cd created by the ministry of sound. I own alot of ministry of sound cds and each one never leaves me with disappoinment. I think this one is by far the best they have brought out, with songs ranging from Basshunter to Snap your garunteed to have a boogie when your listening to these cds.
I'd say it's good value for money as well no matter where you buy it from as you get 3 cds with 60 great well known songs. This cd is ideal for playing in the car, or when your getting ready for a night out or even if your organising your own house party! ...
Advantages: Easy to use. Cuts brilliantly. Disadvantages: Like most electric mowers - the cable, but there's not really a way around that!
Having lived in my home now for a few years, we have naturally made the progression up the 'Lawnmower Ranks'.
With high overheads to begin with, we plump for a cheap as chips Flymo - it did the job, but after a while it became a chore.
