With the sounds of the Ska Revival making a welcome return through bands like The Ordinary Boys, Hard Fi and The Dead 60's, there has never been a better time for Suggs and Co to return.
And return they do, big time!
This, the Nutty Boys first album for six years, was born out of a series of secret gigs they did under the name of The Dangermen. During these shows, the band played versions of some of their favourite songs in their own inimitable ... ...diverse collection of performers. From Prince Buster (Who originally wrote and recorded the song from which Madness took their name), through The Supremes, to their spiritual uncles The Kinks. Stand out tracks are You'll Lose A Good Thing, originally by Barbara Lynn, Shame And Scandal and the brilliant Cockney-Ska of Ray Davies' Lola.
It's enough to have you all doing the Nutty Train down Camden High Road at the drop of the hat!

...helped create them. The Dangermen Sessions - Volume 1. From the soulfulness of The Supremes - You Keep Me Hanging On to the roots reggae of Bob Marleys' - So Much Trouble In The World. Not to mention covers of The Kinks, Desmond Dekker and of course, probably the man who played the biggest influence on Madness. . . . Prince Buster. This CD is a must have for any Madness fan. ...

Album Notes: 'The Dangermen Sessions Vol.1' sees Madness return six years after 1999's 'Wonderful', performing a selection of their favourite songs in their own unique ska style. The album features covers of ska and reggae classics such as Max Romeo's 'Chase The Devil', Prince Buster's 'Girl Why Don't You', and Desmond Dekker's 'Israelites', as well as reworkings of The Kinks' 'Lola' and Diana Ross' 'You Keep Me Hanging On'.
