The passing of Michael Jackson has been sad but unfortunately not unexpected given all the details of his crazy lifestyle. He was an amazing artist and one of my favourite singers. All his songs really make you want to get up and dance and he I believe he has touched a lot of lives with his music.
He has been ever successful ever since he was a child. His career began with the Jackson 5 when he was just an innocent little boy and has gone onto span decades with a very successful solo career. Of course, he was always a very controversial person, hardly out of the gossip magazines and a very complex individual. I think his upcoming tour would have been brilliant but of course there were questions as to whether he would have been able to finish all the dates and it looks like he was scared about it before hand because this is given as one of the reasons why the stress got too much for him.
In a lot of Michael's music he really has a message to tell, songs like Man in the Mirror, Black and White and Heal the World come to mind. I think my favourite album of his is actually Thriller but Dangerous comes a close second as it contains two of the above songs I have mentioned, Black and White and Heal the World.
According to an article I read, Dangerous was released on November 26, 1991. It became his second to debut at #1 on theBillboard 200 album chart. Apparently it has sold as much as 32 million copies worldwide, with 7 million certified shipments in the United States alone, making it a faster selling album than his previous record Bad. Dangerous was the first album ever to spawn eight consecutive UK Top 20 hits.
