It's hard to compare the musical style of Daniel Powter to another artist in the charts today. The album is a mix of contemporary style and laid-back, mellow beats, prefect for relaxing to. Some songs are Chris Matrin-esque, while others are a fresh new sound, really all adding up to a great album. Initially I thought that several songs were very similar, but each have their own qualities, and many are very catchy, although my favourite remains "Bad Day". People who usually go for r'n'b will enjoy the album, it's smooth like R Kelly or Boyz 2 Men, but again its got a sense of Rock, and a Damien Rice quality. It's a good investment for any music lover, and it's an album that's sure to keep you interested. Fresh, great for the Summer, great for the CD changer in your car.

Hia! Welcome to Ciao. I thought you could have added more detail such as background info on Daniel, perhaps track by track listing and good/bad songs. However good first review. I've been wondering whether to buy this cd becuase I absolutely love "Bad day" (perhaps even my favourite song of the year so far), and I really like his voice,- he's really talented.
If you need any help just leave a message in my guestbook and I'll get back to you.
