Advantages: Good music and all that.
Disadvantages: Soundtrack album.

...is 'La Vallëe' which I'm afraid I've never seen. You know how it is, most bands make music for Hollywood rubbish that is shown over and over and the Floyd went and made music for some little French film. The soundtracks are of course essential for Floyd fans to own, the entire discography and nothing less is essential (and in my opinion you should at least own some of the Syd Barrett, Roger Waters and David Gilmour solo work, the rest is passable). For those looking for a way into Pink Floyd maybe you should concentrate on albums like Dark Side Of The Moon. So they aren't critical, but hey both and in particular this one make for jolly fine listening. ~~~~The Music~~~~ 'Obscured By Clouds' is the opening and titling track.
