...down the mic. Thankfully only 1 minute is wasted on this. (2) 13) The Last Time : All about a previous relationship and the regret felt even though the other person was lying. Very good, heartfelt lyrics. (8) 14) Chris Cayton : A very personal song telling us of the relationship with a childhood friend and band mate. Not a bad finish to the album. (7) • Summary • I slightly prefer this album to their self titled debut, I think only because this one feels more polished. Some of the songs on 'Goldfinger' sound a little rough around the edges. Advantages: Sweet punk ska grooves

...I hadn't heard this album in a while. It was one of my favourite albums growing up. Is it as good as I remember? Hell yeah! This album is Goldfinger in their prime. Lately they have become a bit pop punk , this album embraces so many different genres of music but is still predominantely punk and ska. The band is: John Feldmann (Vocals , Guitars) Charlie Paulson (Guitar) Simon Williams (Bass) Darrin Pfeiffer (Drums) The songs are all pretty short , typical of it's punk roots , but they all crackers! The opening track "Superman" sets the mood for the rest of the album , upbeat , light hearted and most of all , good! The next track is called "My Head" and it's a really awesome song , it has some amazing guitar work and is the best produced song on the album. ...311 were formed in 1990 in the home-town of the band members Omaha. "311?" you say, "that's a wierd name", well the code for Indecent Exposure in Omaha is '311. One day, in a public pool, P-nut went skinny dipping with friends. One friend was arrested and taken to his parents....... naked. This (his parents were told, was a violation of code '311'). The band then took is as their name. And the rest is history... Successful 311 now living on the road, released Grassroots in 1994 and by this time they were touring all over the US of A.
