1. How Far Can Too Far Go ?
This is a classic guitar song
2. Hot Pearl Snatch
Plenty of drum beats & guitar style only The Cramps deliver. If you listen to this & other songs on this cd, you can get the feeling Lux is singing hidden sexual related messages.

3. People Ain`t No Good
I personally believe that this song was written because of some incident Lux & the band might have had with certain people.
4. What`s Inside A Girl ?
This is another laugh a minute with a not very well hidden sexual message. Lux might have pondered this song title while he was a little boy as he was trying to figure out why girls are so special.
5. Can Your Pussy Do The Dog ?
Here is the band`s song that might be saying that they prefer cats over dogs. Then again, this is the Cramps-it might just be referring to something else.
6. Kizmiaz
This could be a song about a tropical place that sounds as if it`s the bands description of Eden or paradise. It isn't. Listen carefully!
7. Corn Fed Dames
This can only be translated as what life would be like if The Cramps were actually farmers.
8. Chicken
By far my all time favorite track on this compact disc. It`s quite funny to hear all the ways you can eat chicken.
9. Hot Pool Of Woman Need
10. Aloha From Hell
11. It`s Just That Song
12. Blue Moon Baby
13. Georgia Lee Brown
14. Give Me A Woman
15. Get Off The Road
To me this cd is full of humorous vocals & is one of The Cramps great albums. I highly recommend buying this cd as it is a great buy if you have never been turned on to this great band before. Lux , from time to time on certain songs croons like the late great Elvis Presley.
The booklet that comes with this cd does come with lyrics to nine out of fifteen songs which isn`t that bad. The pictures could have been more as I found out that a lot of people tend to look for pictures of the band for various reasons. I enjoy listening to this album every now and again. I usually put this album on when I want a good laugh at the lyrics that like I stated above are somewhat of a sexual nature, but then again this is The Cramps & they are known for their very colorful lyrics & outrageous outfits.
So, if you want a great band to listen to & you`re tired of the same old stuff then why not buy this album have a couple of good drinks & play this baby

Album Notes
The Cramps: Lux Interior (vocals); Poison Ivy (vocals, guitar, bass); Nick Knox (drums, bongos). Additional personnel: Kit Maira (sound effects); The McMartin Preschool Choir (background vocals). Recorded at Ocean Way Recording, Hollywood, California in Fall 1985. All tracks have been digitally remastered. Dedicated to Ricky Nelson, A DATE WITH ELVIS (1986) is the third Cramps studio album, recorded five years after their last, 1981's PSYCHEDELIC JUNGLE (in the interim, the band recorded a number of EPs and a pair of live albums, and extracted themselves from a legal dispute with their old record label). Playing as a three-piece, with the extremely talented Poison Ivy on guitar and bass (as well as singing on a couple of tracks!), the band turned their most solid studio record. From the brilliant usage of a preschool choir singing the chorus of "People Ain't No Good" to a crunching cover of "Get Off the Road," the theme song of the 1968 biker exploitation flick, SHE DEVILS ON WHEELS, the record includes a bunch of oughta-be classics. Standouts include the faux-hippie duet of "Kizmiaz," one of the band's several peaks of hyperactive, juvenile sexual obsession; "Hot Pool of Womanneed," featuring lyrics like "As Jacob said to Isaiah / In them biblin' days of yore / Man that babe is the tomata / Oh my Lord I'm longin' for"; and Lux Interior's nearly perfect impression of the King on "It's Just That Song."
Album Reviews
Entertainment Weekly (10/14/94, p.61) - "...It's strange to find the Cramps on CD; vinyl seems more in tune with their dirty, disposable aesthetic. But it's still fun to hear...ELVIS -- their mid-'80's best..." - Rating: B+
