Dave Pearce Classic Dance Anthems - Various Artists

Disadvantages: Bit pricey

...I have recently had my birthday for which i had mostly money,i have been looking for a good dance cd for a while and usually buy the clubland ones,but i needed my dance fix now,so while trundelling around my local HMV came across this. I had not even seen it advertised so was supprised to see it there i did'nt even think about it and bought it there and then. This 3 disc album has a semi naked woman on the front cover (as do most dance albums) and clearly states Dave pearce Dance Anthems 2007. This is priced at £15.95 which is what i call expensive,but for that you do get 3 discs totaling 60 tracks including a bonus dvd of 20 classic dance anthems,thats not too bad. ~Cd one~ Im not going to sit here and list all the songs on here but this is the best of the cd's. ...and in the clubs. I can even confirm that its in his box now as i recently played with him in Kellys Portrush. The worst is that its but to name a few. VALUE FOR MONEY This is one thing i dont thing anyone can argue about, approximately, £12.99 for a 3 cd compilation that showcases some of the best talent in the buisness. This album is one of the largest collection of the best trance anthems ever to hit the shelves. Compiled by Dave Pearce himself 'Trance Anthems 2008' represents a 3 CD all-time stellar package featuring some of the biggest artists in the world. ARTISTS YOU CAN EXPECT TO FIND Paul Oakenfold, Chicane, Agnelli & Nelson, Underworld, Mauro Piccotto, PPK, York, Brainbug, Sash, ATB, Three Drives, Push, Verracocha, Tiesto and many more.. Advantages: Great tunes, well ordered
Disadvantages: poor mixing

...This one of the best dance CD's doing the rounds at the moment in my opinion. It has all the big tunes of the moment and some good lesser known ones. The only tune missing is Heart of Asia by Watergate, however I think I'll let Dave off as it is his CD. There is also a good mix between music styles, such as trance, house, dance and fresh new "pioneers" (Daves words, not mine) in dance music. The only thing wrong with this superb compilation is the mixing, or the lack of it. One track ends and fades out and another starts, instead of them being mixed in with each other. This is very strange for Dave Oearce as listening to him on the radio proves he is very capable. This sadly give the CD a slightly unfinnished and unproffesional feel. However the choice of tunes makes up for this.... Read review
