...Infamous Angel 1992 I've always enjoyed singers with unique voices Iris Dement would definitely fit in that category, her voice is pure unaffected and can send a shiver up your spine like few present day singers. That said her voice is not for everyone, my wife for one can't stand her, no accounting for taste! Anyway I think this is a suburb album by one of the best current female country artists. To label Iris simply as a country artist would also be incorrect; there are real folk roots in her style and sound. The emotion she can put into a song is breathtaking especially the brilliant "Our Town" which will appeal to anyone who comes from a small town which has seen better times. This is not a commercial country album the instrumentation mainly acoustic is traditional and the harmonies are right out of the 1950's. Think 'Oh... Read review

...the business to a high level. Being a sucker for a slower song, I would rate this as the best segment of the track, on the basis that it really gets you into the meat of the song and allows you tp really feel part of the music. Where City Of The Damned gives you a tap on the chin, I Don’t Care gives you a full on right hook. Think Basket Case, but faster. Think Basket Case, but snottier and think Basket Case, but harder …. The result ….. I Don’t Care (yet I do for this song). Dearly Beloved slows the pace again, allowing you to get your breath back from the previous segment, yet delivering great lyrics yet again. ...This last 12 months must have been a rollercoaster ride for Keith Urban.After knocking on the door of Country Music for a couple of years his true magic has brought him straight to the top of the Country Music Charts,culminating in him recieving the "Best Vocal Performance" at the "Country Music Awards" but also brought him the wealth and fame normally associated and reserved for the likes of Garth Brooks,Tim McGraw,George Strait and Alan Jackson.Keith Urban has established himself as the new pretender to the throne with an album fit for a king.
