Daydream (Carbon Neutral Edition) - Mariah Carey

Advantages: Some very good music of which all generations can enjoy.
Disadvantages: The album is not her best and some songs are disappointing

...Mariah Carey's "Daydream", is an album of which I have mixed emotions. It is, on the whole, a good album, but there are a few songs that I have to turn off to keep my sanity (mainly because some songs sound the same as others and let us face facts, she has a fantastic voice, but she does love to scream). Including the songs, "Fantasy", "One Sweet Day", "Open Arms" and "Always Be My Baby", the album has a few well-known songs of which we can all sing along to. The others songs included on the album are not just fillers. They are very good. Though some may have simularity to others and the style is very much the same throughout the album with the exception of one track "Daydream", you will generally find it a worthwhile purchase. Disadvantages: a few duff songs

...i like this album alot. i have had it and listened to it since i was about 9 years old. now that i am 16 i still enjoy all of the songs on this album. as i am so young and my parents who are much older also like this album i think it is fair to say that the album appeals to all age groups and different types of people. Mariah Carey is a great artist and i think that having heard lots of her other material this is one of the best. the title track Daydream is an amazing song. this album shows off Mariahs. amazing talent for both writing and singing. the lyrics are are great and i can really relate to almost all of the songs. the vocals on the album are exception and really show off her enoromous vocal range. there are a few duets on here which are all great. overall a brilliant album... Advantages: One of the greatest singers - 29 greatest songs ( if like 2disc cd's)
Disadvantages: To many songs for album(i think)

...has amassed a number of NO.1 singles and albums like 'DAYDREAMER' which sold over 6million in three months in the USA. By the end of the 90's Carey sold over 110 million albums making her one of the biggest sellinf solo female artist and in 2001 Virgin Records signed her for $80 million... not bad for 31 year old hey??. Then 'GLITTER' came along and film and album flopped and they parted and 2005 came back with top spot album and back to her best!. Carey has dueted with numerous people like fellow diva Whitney Houston which sang the soundtrack to animated film ''the prince of egypt', boyz2men, Trey Lorenz, Luther Vandross and ...Westlife.
