Advantages: brilliant crime story you won't want to put down Disadvantages: If you haven't read the previous books you may lack some background
This is the forth book in the Roy Grace series and I was very pleased to receive it for Christmas as I have read the other three. You do not need to have read the others though as this stands fine on it's own as a stand alone story but you would have more background into the characters if you had read them.
The story centres around the discovery of a skeleton in a storm drain in Brighton, a man caught up in the 9/11 disaster and a woman on the run. The book starts in the present day with the discovery of the skeleton and Superintendent Roy Grace being called to the scene. The skeleton appears to be about 9 years old which causes Grace to worry that it may be the skeleton of his wife who disappeared that long ago and has never been seen since. This is a Walt Disney film and is the sequel to Pirates of the Caribbean - The Curse of the Black Pearl and is directed by Gore Verbinski.
Both films are about old day pirates sailing the seas around the Caribbean, in waters full of weird and exciting things.

Dead Man's Bones consists of Academy-award nominated actor Ryan Gosling and friend Zach Shields and what was originally conceived as a horror themed musical, but turned out to be too expensive to produce, has eventually ended up as the duo's debut self titled album. Setting themselves some ground rules before recording, such as playing instruments they'd never played before, only doing three takes of each song and shunning electric guitars and click tracks, the duo enlisted the help of The Silverlake Conservatory Of Music Children's Choir to give each track a unique sound. Taking influence from 50's doo wop through to the likes of Arcade Fire, the mix of haunting sounds and Gosling's crooning have created a unique album that is free from the usual "Hollywood" trappings of celebrity side projects.
