Metallica Death Magnetic:
11 Tracks Heavy Metal Released 12/09/2008
In my honest oppinion this is an amazing album, ive not been a fan long but i have heard all of their albums they are simply an amazing band.
When i first listened to this album i wasnt so sure how i felt but it grew on me now i listen to it quite a few times a day.
The tracks are 5 mins+
That was just your life: For the first Track i have to say what a brilliant opening to the album, Great guitar rhythm that really gets you going...imagine being in a mosh pit with that playing :D
The end of the Line: This one didnt get my attention straight away. I think it has one of those beats that gets me all hyped up but once it gets further into it i get kinda bored.
Broken, Beat and scarred: I love the Start of this track it gets my feet going to the beat and i start up the air guitar. i love the Rhythm of it and the lead guitar too. i recommend this to any metallica fan.
The Day that never comes: If you have watched the video you will know this is based around the soldiers in iraq. This can be one of those songs that get you thinking if you look at it a certain way. towards the end of the song you get like a pure 2 minute riff which is totally awesome i love it. if you want to watch the video youtube it.
All Nightmare long: It was the name of the track that caught my eye with this one. i put it on and the start kinda bored me a little but i kept listening and then about 40 seconds into the song it goes into a constant rhythm and really gets your foot tapping and if your standing up you get the urge to mosh a little.
Cyanide: From the first second of this song it is amazing. it has an amazing bass line and a simple but effective beat to it.
The unforgiven III The start of this song reminds me a bit of queen when they put the piano and orchestra into their music but then on top of that they have a simple beat and rhythm, its definatley worth listening to.
The judas kiss: Simply amazing! thats how i put this track. Ive never come across a song that gets my blood pumping through my veins faster than this one.
Suicide and Redemption: Not so keen on this track. dont get me wrong great guitar rhythms and stuff but i dont know just not overly struck on this track to be honest.
My Apocalypse: Gotta love this one...i listened to it at my friends party and just immediatley started jumping its just one of those bouncy moshy songs.
All together its a great album just one or two songs im not overly struck on i have to say that the best track is the day that never comes simply because of the riff towards the end, it really gets your attention .

As many of their early fans would agree, Danish-Californian quartet Metallica seemed to ... more

Advantages: Kirk's Solos back, songs more varied and better than St Anger, a couple of epics. Disadvantages: Not as good as some over-the-top reviewers have said.
Advantages: Thundering riffs, great basslines, howling Hetfield, mental solos, brutal drumming Disadvantages: Still not as good as the old Metallica albums, Unforgiven is a bit odd

Review of Death Magnetic - Metallica
Advantages: Metallica are back, fantastic partly-thrashing progressive riff based metal music with a contemporary touch Disadvantages: Awful mixing has destroyed dynamics adding severe digital distortion with too much compression used
