This River Runs Deep
Review of Mystic River (DVD) by  silver40

Advantages: A well acted dark drama for adults
Disadvantages: Some might not like such a sombre tale.

...Mystic River is an adaptation of a novel by Dennis Lehane a dark mystery thriller with a less than Hollywood ending. The screenplay by Brian Helgeland is well-crafted and Clint Eastwood directs with an easy morose pace that?s guaranteed to grip the audience and depress the mood. The haunting background music was also written by Eastwood. The story takes place in a Boston suburb. Three young boys Jimmy, Sean and Dave are playing in the street and decide to write their names in some freshly laid cement. A man claiming to be a detective interrogates the boys and makes Dave Boyle get into his car. The subsequent events scar the boy for life. It is 30years later as adults when the three boy?s destinies are once more entangled that the film examines the effects of this event on the lives of them all. Dave (Tim Robbins) comes home... Down by the River...
Review of River Of No Return (DVD) by  KarenUK

Advantages: Marilyn Monroe looking beautiful and singing well, good cast, beautiful views
Disadvantages: Some dull bits, it's a Western!

...In the year following the filming of Niagara, Marilyn Monroe only made two films - the star-studded There's No Business Like Showbusiness and River of No Return. They seem happy together, but it soon becomes obvious that they have different priorities in life. Harry is obsessed with making money. He is a gambler who is selfish, greedy and not very likeable. Kay, however, is sweet, maternal, caring and warm-hearted. She isn't a passive woman though; she is feisty and determined and not afraid to have a go at anything. Matt Calder (Robert Mitchum) is a cowboy who ends up at the saloon where Kay works. He has just been reunited with his son Mark (played well by... Read review

Review of Hugo Boss Deep Red Eau De Parfum Spray by  just.bcoz

Advantages: smells gorgeous
Disadvantages: my bottles finished

...I just finished my bottle of Hugo Boss Deep Red perfume today so I decided I should write a review about it. Someone bought me the perfume last year either for my birthday or Christmas and it was part of a gift set. If I can remember correctly the whole set was in a large square shaped box, which was mainly red in colour with a picture of the bottle of perfume on the front of it and Hugo written in large bold white lettering. The packaging design was really plain and simple but I didn't care because I had a new fragrance to add to my continuously growing collection. Usually when I choose a perfume for myself I tend to pick ones which have nice bottles or packaging because usually if the packaging and bottle is nice then the perfume smells really nice too. However if I was out shopping myself I wouldn't have even considered buying... Read review
