With this keys to his "beamer" now firmly tucked into his pocket this ragga legend is now focusing on the other love in his life-ladies. After last summer's collaboration with Jamilia (Money), one of Jamaica's finest has teamed up with current American r'n'b sensation Mya (Ghetto Superstar) to produce a fluffy ragga/soul/pop tune that you cannot help but love. His throaty ragga rhymes work perfectly with the honey vocals of Mya who recently had a hit with Case Of The Ex. This is a cool, laid back song and a good collaboration.
Beenie man is one of the finest reggae artists to have come out of anywhere let a lone Jamaica!
He has true musical talent and rhyming/vocal skill that have “bump and grinded” they’re way round the world!
“The best of Beenie Man” highlights his best, and it literally is that
One of the best albums I have heard in a long time. All the songs are brilliant, individual but classic Beenie. It’s a must on all stereos. ... ...are not Beenie fans, it is great. Simply because the music is truly first-rate, good quality reggae, with its catchy lyrics – believe me I have caught many a punk-rockers chattering along to “zim zimmer who got the keys to ma beamer?” see what I mean that is defiantly an instinctive to buy this album which will leave you truly amazed and in the mood for anything, it has many songs which makes it even better value for money.

Album Notes
1994's DEFEND IT is one of Beenie Man's most uncompromising sets, with a more socially conscious set of toasts than usual. Most of these tracks are as raw and blunt as Bob Marley's '70s reggae classics, from the period when the reggae icon almost single-handedly turned the music into an instrument of protest as well as a good time. From the album's militant title on down, DEFEND IT is a similarly direct release, with songs like "Wicked Man," "No Matter Di Money" and "Bomb and Dynamite" casting a moral eye on contemporary society. Even more direct tracks like "People Dead" and "Child Abuse" are almost hectoring, with "God Mek Everything" and "I Am a Disciple" showing where Beenie Man is coming from. In a decade where reggae was nearly as violent and deadpan as gangsta rap, the sharp cuts of DEFEND IT are stunningly refreshing.
